September 30th, 2017. I went to BAE by Socieaty this morning. It’s my first time to see the place. Well, yeah, I heard about this one from one of the owner, who happened to be my friend’s sister. And yes, she’s my sister now. *kiss kiss sis* LOL. She told me earlier this month that it’s their latest baby. And since then, I couldn’t wait to try. And today is the day.
Located in Crystal Lagoon area, BAE is very eye-catching with dim lights and elegant atmosphere, but not in an intimidating way. They’re actually very friendly. And they’re selling high quality wines with relatively cheap price. It’s a very good news for wine lovers. 🙂 For the food, they have BAE bites, Salads, Mains, Pizza, Pasta, etc. Well, let me show you around. And you will definitely notice the big Chef’s mural on the back of the place. LOL. Anyway, according to the owner, BAE means Before Anyone Else. But it can mean anything to anybody. You can pick Bacon And Egg too. LOL.

It’s so good! Not too strong with sweet flavour. In fact, my hubby said with surprise tone, “It’s cocktail??” LOL.
Cassava Nachos 95k
US beef, jalapeno, salsa, black beans, mozzarella, guacamole, sour cream
Ok, two thumbs up for the best nachos ever. Well, I never liked tortilla chips hahaha. So, when I knew they used cassava for the chips, I couldn’t wait to try. Generous US beef OMG! Still didn’t like the guacamole and sour cream, but the mozzarella enhanced the flavour of the nachos. Definitely one of the best nachos!
Doperlamb Ribs 89k
grilled lamb ribs, honey mustard
Small size of lamb ribs. It’s so good, my hubby thought it’s pork. LOL. Tender and juicy meat. Well, I guess it’s our first time eating doperlamb. Love the fat! They grilled it with honey mustard as the sauce. Totally luscious.
Foie Gras Dates 130k
caramelized onion, roasted dates
Yaaaaay foie gras! Chef Robert was the genius man behind this dish. Foie gras with caramelized onion and roasted dates. The caramelized onion and roasted dates enhanced the sweet flavour. And I really liked the texture of the foie gras. Not too hard, not too mushy. Just perfect. Texture like tofu. Tasted like heaven.
Bebek Matah 159k
duck breast, kiuri, tomato, sambal matah, garlic fried rice
Me and hubby never liked spicy food. So when we tried this bebek matah, we didn’t mixed the ingredients in the plate. Well, my hubby definitely won’t eat the bebek matah that has been mixed. But, the bebek matah was so delicious, I finally accepted the fact that it should be mixed. With the help from the chef, I tried the bebek matah with the kiuri, tomato and garlic fried rice, along the spiciness from the oil of the sambal matah, enduringly. And yes, the garlic fried rice was beyond compare. Recommended.
Chocolate Salted Egg Lava Cake 65k
OMG! This was a brilliant idea. Collaborate chocolate lava and salted egg. It’s really really good. I think I will order this one again and no sharing. The texture of the cake was overwhelming. Smooth, silky, velvety. You named it. And when Chef Robert cut the cake, it was beautiful. The salted egg came out from the cake literally like a lava. And it was super delish. I couldn’t stop eating this one. Super recommended dessert!
Well, congratulations BAE for the opening. We need place like yours. Place to hang out, place to eat good food, place to drink good wine, place to be with BAE.
