Kopi KurangLebih at Kelapa Gading Jakarta

December 30th, 2017. A very unique coffee shop. Kopi KurangLebih. KurangLebih actually means more or less. And they used plus (+) and minus (-) as their symbol. So, when we had time to go to Kelapa Gading area, it was our first destination.

IMG_9700

A petite place with friendly people. The place only have several seats. So, good thing we came very early in the morning. After us, there were some people came, so we didn’t stay too long, since we had to be at another places too. Yup, what a busy morning hahaha.. Anyway, I love their neon sign. It said: Where? Here. in one word, based on the lights being turned on.

Iced Kopi Susu Legit 20k

Such a nice iced kopi susu. The coffee and the milk mixed perfectly. And tell you the truth, I kinda am tired writing about es kopi susu. LOL. I think the taste, all of them, basically the same. But, yes yes yes, I still love sipping a sweet of es kopi susu hahaha.. And definitely will review about it.. *big grin*

Lumpia Goreng 5k

Cheap but a delicious fried lumpia. They called it a snack. It’s a different snack from other coffee shops. And I love it so much. I saw many coffee shops with croissant or danish or cakes as their snacks. So, right now I prefer the simple traditional snack. Ulalaaaa..

IMG_9714

Pisang Goreng 5k

Another traditional snack that I loved there. Fried banana or banana fritter. You can call it anything you like. But pisang goreng is still my favourite snack. Hooray for the delicious pisang goreng. Sweet flavour with tender texture.

IMG_9713

Nasi Meong Ayam 7k

Wow, so happy to meet nasi meong in a coffee shop. LOL. Hail to the nasi meong! They have 3 kinds of nasi meong. C for Cumi (squid). A for Ayam (chicken). And T for Teri (anchovy). The cute thing: CAT means kucing or meong. Hahahaha. It was a delicious nasi meong. And came to the rescue for my hungry tummy.

Beets and Bouts with Kala by Seniman and Kuma Living at Oakwood Mega Kuningan Jakarta

January 19th, 2018. All of a sudden, my sister sent me IG story from her friend. It said that a new coffee shop opened direct from Ubud. Hmmmm.. is it Seniman Ubud? I asked my sister to ask her friend. And voila. Kala by Seniman opened with Kuma Living in Beets and Bouts at Oakwood, Mega Kuningan area.

IMG_0435

Great thing about the day, they had this promotion “Pay as you like.” Woohoo. We came there to enjoy the coffee, for sure. Turned out, they were like a collaboration spaces. So in one space, they have 3 brands, and they supported each other. Beets and Bouts: famous for its healthy food. Kala by Seniman: no need to explain anything. It’s Kala by Seniman Coffee. *period* Kuma Living: for the beautiful plants. Such a great collaboration, right? The place is very beautiful. Warm and homey. The funniest thing: the owner of Kala by Seniman recognized me from the past. OMG! Finally we met! Anyway, I also loved their signature BARROKER chair.

Latte

I asked for one shot coffee, and it was very easy to fall in love with the coffee. The texture was very light with no “too-milky” coffee. And the flavour was overwhelming. I was very happy to finally taste their premium coffee. No need to fly to Ubud. LOL.

IMG_0445

Flat White

It’s my sister’s order, but I didn’t try it.

IMG_0447

Es Kopi Susu

The owner and the barista gave me a complimentary es kopi susu. And it was really different from any other es kopi susu. They used premium coffee. The texture was not too milky, not too light and still had a strong flavour from the coffee without overpowering the purpose of a whole idea of a cup of es kopi susu. Quite confusing, right? It was definitely a mind-boggling. LOL.

Foxy Red Smoothy Bowl

beets, strawberry, dates, pineapple, almond milk, topped with muesli, pineapple, coconut flakes, and strawberry (seasonal)

My sister ordered Acai Krema from Beets and Bouts. So I thought, I ordered something else from the menu, like their smoothy bowl. Their menu is not yet complete, so I ordered this foxy red. It was very sour, at first. But after some time, it became sweeter, with mushy texture. Maybe the sour came from the pineapple, but finally the dates sweetened the flavour. I think I will try their other smoothy bowls next time.

Anyway, congratulations for the opening Beets and Bouts with Kala by Seniman and Kuma Living. Hip hip hooray!

KOZI 3.7 at Jeruk Purut Cilandak Jakarta

December 29th, 2017. I heard about KOZI 3.7 a long time ago. It’s actually a branch from coffee shop in Bandung. And I just had time to visit the coffee shop. I asked hubby to take me there. *thank you so much hon* It’s really far from our home, but we managed to visit the palce. Yaaaay.

IMG_9680

It was such a beautiful place. They have outdoor and indoor area. And clearly, the outdoor area is more beautiful than the indoor. Actually, I prefer sat inside, but there wasn’t any available seat. So we had to sit outside. Which was a beautiful place. It’s just, too bad, I had to fight with the fly LOL.

IMG_9693

Kosangsu 20k

Kosangsu stands for Kopi Pisang Susu. Well, it should be coffee, banana and milk, right? Too bad, the banana was just a little hint. I need more banana, please! Hohoho. Well, it was a hot day, so the kosangsu was a saviour. Next time, I will ask them to add more banana. Definitely!

IMG_9694

Donat Kampung 7k

Donat Kampung was always good. It was one of my childhood snacks. The texture was nice, I said to hubby that, “It’s very good, hon!!!” But hubby said, it’s just okay. Well, different taste, perhaps. The sugar coat was not very sweet. That’s why I loved it. Hmmm.. I think my hubby prefer it sweeter. Hmm.. maybe..

IMG_9695 IMG_9696

Great job KOZI 3.7. Definitely waiting for another outlets to come.

Sukotjo at Cipete Cilandak Jakarta

December 29th, 2017. I saw this one accidentally somewhere. Yes, it was really accidentally. Not like other people that saw on some people IG timeline, but still said “accidentally saw the new place.” LOL. Well, when I saw the name, Sukotjo, I knew right away it meant to be Susu Kopi Coklat hahaha.. It was a petite coffee shop with a cute concept: #BeliLewatJendela.

IMG_9666

When we came, we didn’t know where to park our car. So hubby parked a little bit far from the place, I came inside alone. Then they told me to park in front of the coffee shop. I texted hubby to move the car, so he could come inside too. The place is very humble with simple ambiance. Like a traditional coffee shop with a touch of minimalism atmopshere.

Es Sukotjo 18k

Like I said before, Sukotjo means Susu Kopi Coklat. (Tjo read Co in old spelling) It was a really nice combination. Milk, Coffee and Chocolate. Together in one cup. If I come back to the place again, I wanna try their Es Coklat. My hubby was full at the time, so he didn’t try it. I think it will be as great as their Es Sukotjo.

IMG_9675 IMG_9674

Tahu Baso 17k

I was a little bit hungry, but not too hungry. So, I tried their tahu baso. It took some time to fry the tahu baso, so when it came to my table, my hubby ate it right away. And, it was HOT. Hahahaha.. Be patient, honey. LOL. It was a delicious tahu baso. Don’t forget to dip it with sweet soy sauce. Yummy.

Kedai Kopi Tenong at Cipete Raya Cilandak Jakarta

December 29th, 2017. When I saw the pictures of Kedai Kopi Tenong, I thought it will be a small coffee shop with outdoor area. But when I came to the place, it’s quite a big one. Easy for parking in front of the place, and it has quite spacious for indoor area. The outdoor area is also just nice.

IMG_9650

Located at the roadside of Cipete Raya, it’s very easy to find. The place is adjacent to batik shop, I forgot the name, sorry. The inside is bigger than the outside. When I came inside, I felt like an old house. Very traditional atmosphere with friendly ambiance.

Es Kopi Susu Tenong 19k

Surprisingly, I didn’t really like this coffee. I had no idea what’s wrong with the coffee hahaha. I think it’s all about taste. It’s not my palate, I guess. Next time I should try their Milo Dinosaur. Cannot wait!

IMG_9663

Pisang Goreng Tenong 5k

This was very very good. We loved it. Tender texture with sweet flavour. We ordered 2 because we both love pisang goreng hahaha. We wanted to order again since it was quite cheap, but we had to prepare our tummy for next destination. So, next time ya. 🙂

Lock on Coffee at Prapanca Raya Dharmawangsa Jakarta

December 29th, 2017. When they opened the first day, Aline accidentally passed the place. Then she told me about Lock on Coffee. Then I stalked them on Instagram hahaha. Turned out, it was really their first day. So, I asked Aline to visit the place the next day. Too bad, after one place, Aline had to go back to office because of something. I went there only with hubby, then.

IMG_9624

When I came inside, I met their smoking area first. Then, opened another door, and voila, non-smoking area. Yaaaay. The ambiance was pretty dim-light with dark brown colour furnitures. And when I talked to the people there, they said that the owner was a retired army. He has intentions to donate some of the profit from the coffee shop. Such a generous person, right?

IMG_9629 IMG_9625 IMG_9626 IMG_9627 IMG_9628 IMG_9630 IMG_9631 IMG_9632 IMG_9637 IMG_9638 IMG_9633 IMG_9635 IMG_9639 IMG_9634 IMG_9636

Cafe Latte

I love their cafe latte. The after taste was amazing. The texture was light and the flavour was overwhelming. I really really loved it. Funny thing. The barista gave my cafe latte in a take-away cup. she said that she couldn’t make a great latte art if I wanted my latte in a coffee mug. But when I opened the take-away cup, I didn’t think that it was a really bad latte art. It was very nice. And I told her. Hahaha. She looked happy. Yaaaay.

Iced Tea

IMG_9642

Iced Chocolate

It’s hubby’s order since he loves iced chocolate. And after a sip, I agreed with him. The iced chocolate was very very delicious. It was bitter and very chocolaty! The texture was perfect, also. Super recommended for those iced chocolate lovers.
