November 6th, 2016. Long before the date, I was told to go to this new coffee shop. But, since it’s quite far from my place, I just had a chance to go there this month. We had an event in Kelapa Gading at noon, so we decided to go to the coffee shop earlier. I picked Gaby first, then we went off to Kelapa Gading area. Woohoo. MONKS.
At first, I enjoyed the place very much. It’s beautiful, instagenic, gorgeous, cool and gorgeous. Ok, I say gorgeous two times hahaha.. They have 2 levels with 1 mezzanine. We sat on first level. The mezzanine was empty at first. But when I wanted to take photos there, a family came and occupied the mezzanine. And they were loud. The children were so noisy and jumped around. The mezzanine floor isn’t made of concrete, it’s made of wood. So, when children jumped, the whole room exploded hahaha. And the parents didn’t do anything against the children’s behaviour. Hmm.. Well, we were annoyed. So, it’s time for us to move to another place. Hahahaha.. Ok, now I share the photos first.

Actually, Leo ordered it for double shot. But they served it separately, so he canceled the double shot. It’s kinda weird because we went to many coffee shops and no one served double shot separately. The server said that we should order something different to get double shot in a mug. But they didn’t give information about it. Hm… Well, it’s okay. Maybe they’re different. 🙂

Deep fried mushroom ball with melted cheese, served with Jisan sauce and togarashi
It was delicious. Burst in your mouth. I have no idea about jisan sauce. But it’s sweet like teriyaki sauce. The melted cheese was dabomb, of course. Nothing can beat the cheese.

Peanut-Caramel mousse / Peanut brittle / Chocolate sponge 39k
A little doubt about this dessert. But after one spoonful, I admit that I was totally wrong. It was spectacular. The peanut caramel mousse was amazingly delicious. The texture of chocolate sponge was unbeatable. Soft and fluffy. I think it’s one of the best desserts. One-of-a-kind!
Brittle is a type of confection consisting of flat broken pieces of hard sugar candy embedded with nuts such as pecans, almonds, or peanuts.
They said the food was amazingly delicious. So I guess I have to be back again to try their savoury food. Wait for me!
