August 2nd, 2017. I was invited to Rasa Restaurant at AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA. They had this event about Singapore Food Festival. I was with some media and some foodies. So happy to be back to AYANA.
AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA caps off the summer culinary season with an unforgettable Singapore Food Festival featuring Chef Kelvin Wong from The Fullerton Hotel Singapore from August 2nd to 15th, 2017. Guest Chef Kelvin Wong brings all of his favorite Singaporean recipes to Jakarta from the kitchen of Town Restaurants where he is currently sous chef. Described as a ‘champion of Singaporean food’, Chef Kelvin’s career spans 22 years.
It’s been a long time since I went to Singapore. I really miss the food LOL. So, when they told me that the event was about Singapore Food Festival, I replied, “I’m in!” Too bad they arranged the event at nite. I think I will be happier if it’s on a bright day. My photos will be prettier.. I hope.. hahaha..
His signature ‘Town Laksa’ is an icon amongst Singaporean foodies and is served with tiger prawns and quail eggs. Delicious Singapore desserts is also presented to satisfy sweet tooth namely Bubur Cha Cha and Sweet Green Bean soup.
I was very happy when I saw Bak Kut Teh on their menu. There’s a lot of Singapore food like: Carrot Cake, Singapore Chili Crab, Oat Meal Prawn, Hainan Chicken Rice, Popiah, etc.
The Singapore Food Festival at Rasa is priced at 275k++ per person during lunch and 320k++ per person during dinner. Guests who have birthday on 9 August get a 20% discount if comes with 3 friends or more. A special 52% discount will also be extended for guests who come with ten friends.
