Kayu Kayu Restaurant by Kosenda Hotel at Alam Sutera Tangerang

September 1st, 2017. Finally I visited Kayu Kayu Restaurant. First, I knew that this restaurant is managed by Kosenda Hotel. Second, I couldn’t wait to go there. So when I had staycation at Serpong area this weekend, I asked my hubby to have lunch there. Yaaaay.

Located at the same area with Ethnicraft, Kayu Kayu dominated with wooden furnitures and lots of plants. They have 2 levels, but when I asked them, they said that the second level was designated for function room. The restaurant is very spacious. Like, very very spacious! Inside the restaurant, there’s coffee bar which called 127 Cafe. They served coffee, tea and various drinks there. I really love how they decorated the place. It’s very beautiful. You won’t get bored walking around the place.

Nasi Goreng K2 48k

Fried rice with choices of topping Roasted Duck (add 28k)

I didn’t try the fried rice, but my hubby said that it’s similar to “nasi goreng tek tek.” Well, for those who liked nasi goreng tek tek, you will love this one, then. Anyway, I tried the roasted duck, and it’s too dry for me. As a matter of fact, this fried rice came to our table very late, around an hour, in a bit cool temperature. It’s like they cooked it half hour ago, but they served to us half hour later. Great thing, they said sorry for the late food, and promise to serve better next time, since maybe it’s holiday and they didn’t have enough people at the time.

Laksa Peranakan 48k

Udon, beans sprout, egg, fried tofu, eggplants, with Chicken (add 20k)

This laksa came to my table also an hour later after we ordered. Good thing, it’s still warm. Tasted really delicious. Love the texture of the broth. And yes, it’s spicy. LOL. I couldn’t finish the broth, even though I wanted to do that so very much. Btw, I love the texture of the udon. Nothing beats the flavor and texture of fresh homemade udon noodles.. in a perfectly well-seasoned laksa broth.
