Taking pictures with Christmas Trees all around the mall in Jakarta, will be an amazing thing to do when I go to shopping malls with my hubby. It’s so fun! And, it’s 2 months to go. Gran Mahakam Hotel, as usual, had planned for this festive season. They put us in Lotus Room. Decorated beautifully. Well, let’s begin.

I got a privilege to taste the menu first with fellow foodies. Yaaaaay. Always love their decorations. Gran Mahakam, I guess, is the best hotel for event’s decorations. They put very much attention to details. Love it/

Salmon Tartare
Lobster and Citrus Salad with Walnut Toasted in Endives Leave. Pardon my photos. Turned out, I forgot to take picture of it, because it’s too delicious. It’s juicy and crunchy at the same time. The Salmon Tartare was also delicious. Nice flavour with amazing texture. Melt in your mouth. Trust me. And it smells so good!!
SOUP
Cream Edamame with Scallop Dumpling
Silky smooth soup with creamy flavour and very tasty. The scallop dumpling added a nice touch to the texture of the soup. I love edamame. When they make it for soup, I love it even more!
SORBET
Orange Sorbet
OHMAIGAT! It’s the best orange sorbet. It’s sweet. It’s sour. It’s refreshing. It’s addicting. I wish they serve it in a coconut shell, instead of an orange hahahaha.. When we enjoyed this orange sorbet, nobody moved. Everyone ate this one with calm and serene. Really enjoyable. LOL.
MAIN COURSE
Black Angus Beef Medallion with Foie Gras and Ragout Mushroom
First bite. And it’s the foie gras, because I thought it was mushroom! DIE!! I wanna save the best for last!!! I adore this dish. Juicy and tender. Eating a thick cut beef medallion had never been this easier. And I still regret the way I ate the foie gras. Huft.. Can I repeat the dish again? Please. Hahaha..
Nasi Daun Jeruk
It’s a small amount of rice with lime leaves. Served with peanut brittle, shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, squid, jerked beef, satay, and dried potato. ADDICTING! It’s smell so good with rich flavour of the condiments.

Black Beauty Cake
There’s always room for dessert. Black Beauty Cake. Beautiful in looks and delicious in taste. It’s small but pretty dense. What a delicious closure. Love the presentation. Simple but cute.
