July 11th, 2017. Accidentally saw this place on my way to a meeting.. errr.. no no no.. wait a minute.. wrong reason. Hahahaha. Saw this on Instagram, and just in time I will have a meeting this afternoon, so I stopped by to see the place. It was gorgeous. You have to visit brood-en-boter super soon.
Located in Kemang area, it’s just stood beautifully at the super busy street. I was stunned when I came inside. Spacious with a touch of homey atmosphere and immediately fell in love at the first sight. I met the lovely owner and she amazed me with her passion. She wanted to open a nice place where everybody can eat healthy and still delicious. brood-en-boter was born on June 26th. On the first day, still opened for dinner. But now they open 8am to 9pm. Good, right? Beside breads and cakes, they also have various menu of main courses. And like her passion from the start, they served the bread and the food free from bread improvers, cake emulsifier, preservatives and MSG. And you know what.. you can enjoy your “me-time” there while your kids enjoy their activities in the kids playroom. Great job gal!
Cafe Latte 30k
When I asked what coffee beans they’re using, she instantly said, “Giyanti, of course!” She’s a Giyanti lovers. Yaaaay. For a less-coffee Cafe Latte, it’s really good. The texture was still bold but not acidic. Creamy but not too milky. Perfect for my morning.
One of the best bitterballen I’ve ever tried. Tasted so good with perfectly gooey texture. They put beef brisket in the batter. It was good. Well-seasoned. Melt in my mouth. Super recommended!
I asked for non-spicy one, but I know in my heart that a non-spicy gado-gado isn’t right hahahahaha.. Yup, they made it a little.. just a little bit spicy.. It’s different taste from my usual gado-gado at home, but it’s good. Although it’s not really my palate but it’s definitely a delightful one. A healthy gado-gado, what could go wrong? Psst, you can ask for rice if you want LOL.
A complimentary from the owner. It’s very tempting! And it’s definitely different from any other french toast I’ve ever tried. It’s really crunchy at the outside, and really fluffy on the inside. Really fluffy, like cloud, or snow? Hahaha.. Never tried cloud or snow, actually. *giggling* Recommended! You should ask them to make you the french toast. Beyond any doubt!
Actually I wanna try their classic sponge cake. I would love to try the nougat and the mocca meises OMG! I will order soon! Maybe next week. Anyway, congratulations brood-en-boter for the opening! It’s definitely a must-visit place in Kemang! See you soon again yaaaaa..
