May 26th, 2017. I was invited to Al Nafoura at Le Meridien Jakarta to welcome Ramadan 2017 with an array of Iftar offering during the holy month. AI Nafoura is one of Jakarta’s known authentic Middle Eastern restaurant with a truly unique setting, where the warmth and hospitality of Arabian tradition come to life for Ramadan.
We were introduced to Chef Ahmad Jamil who created a selection of the best Middle Eastern cuisine, according to the secret recipe from his native region. A delicious assortment of hot and cold mezzeh such as velvety hommous, crunchy fatoush, tangy tabbouleh, and babaganoush served with fresh pita bread.
A range of traditional delicacies including slow roasted lamb ouzi, Arabic mixed grill and shawarma served with Middle Eastern sweets such as umm ali, baklawa, and date pudding, round off the Iftar experience.
