[HOTEL] Mercure Jakarta Simatupang – Superior Room 1 king-size bed

After a lovely staycation in Serpong area, we moved to TB Simatupang neighborhood. Time for us to stay at Mercure Jakarta Simatupang. It’s our first time, so we’re very excited. We drove from Serpong to Mercure Simatupang less than an hour. The road was still vacant. Woohoo. Thanks to Ied-Fitri!

Mercure Jakarta Simatupang is an excellent lodging choice for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel is ideally located in Southern Jakarta business district and easily accessible from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Shopping malls, restaurants and leisure options are within short jaunt from the hotel. Features 231 rooms with high speed WIFI Internet access, complete meeting facilities, a rooftop bar with stunning view of Jakarta, a trendy restaurant and an onsite car park.

When I entered their lobby, I was happy. It’s a lovely lobby. The front office opposite with the restaurant. There’re tables and seats with coffee bar for ordering coffee and pastry at the entrance of the restaurant. The people were very helpful. We didn’t have any problems with the check-in process. Hmm.. I couldn’t wait to see the room. *wink wink*

Superior Room 1 king-size bed (room 1603)

The contemporary superior room comes with 1 King sized Bed bathroom with shower, Plasma TV, WiFi internet access and wonderful views of the city.

I love the room. The bed was very comfortable. Clean and cozy. And it’s an addictive room. After I came in, I didn’t wanna come out hahaha.. When it’s time to go, my hubby had to pull my legs off the bed LOL. Love the bathroom too. Not too small, just the right space. Love the good gesture of the welcome cookies and pie and grapes. Hihihi. Delicious.

DINNER TIME

Dine in Graffiti restaurant for an exceptional taste and stylish culinary experience. The Graffiti presents a la carte for lunch and dinner where our executive chef and his team will surprise each guest with a diverse array of international classics and traditional Indonesia fare from this diverse archipelago within a chic and hip atmosphere of the restaurant.

When I stepped inside Graffiti restaurant, I was amazed the way they decorated the place. There’re clocks and old telephones at the walls. And photos of trains on the pillars. Very unique and pretty. The ambiance was lovely. We’ve been accompanied by their Marcom Mgr. She told me that the owner loved to decorate the restaurant with lovely things. I really really loved it. Such a comfortable place to eat.

I love the drinks and the food. Especially the dessert.
Great thing happened though. My hubby ate the salad. OMG. He never ate salad. LOL.
I told him it's good, and he surprised me with the empty salad bowl.
The salmon was really good. But I was too full, I didn't finish it. I let him finished it.
The mango dessert was overwhelming. Love it!

KARUMBA ROOFTOP

KARUMBA is Jakarta’s best rooftop rum bar. Located on the 19th floor on top of Mercure Jakarta Simatupang. The spaces showcase the vibrant spirit of the West Indies and have hidden cellars housing over 100 varieties of rum. Beats are supplied by Karumba DJ & Musicians. Expect everything from Reggae to Modern RnB & Soul to Latin & Calypso to Afro-funk.

I visited KARUMBA in the afternoon, after checked-in, to claim our welcome-drink. It’s not very spacious but one of the best rooftop I’ve ever visited. There’s pool there, a petite one, but beautiful. And I couldn’t stop taking photos there. It’s dazzling. Then I came back at night after dinner for cocktail and mocktail. And it’s stunning! We met their GM and had a lovely night with them. Great conversation and amazing cocktail night experience. Definitely a keeper!

BREAKFAST TIME

We had our breakfast at Graffiti Restaurant. It’s really amazing to see Graffiti in bright light. At night, it’s elegant and cozy. In the morning, it’s warm and comfortable. The breakfast time started 5:30am. Cool!! For those early-birds, it’s really a good time. We started our breakfast around 8am. Then, I finished at 10:30 LOL. After that, we slept until it’s time to check-out.

Say no more. All delicious, especially the Fried Chicken. OMG! Best fried chicken in hotel’s breakfast ever! I think I ate a whole chicken hahahahaha.. And the lontong sayur was also appetizing. Another OMG dish. Love the nasi kuning. I only complained about the waffles. They didn’t have maple syrup. Huft. I always loved waffles or pancakes with maple syrup. Maybe they should consider to provide one. *wink*
