Day One
Another staycation. Yaaaay. And I got the privilege to ask my travel-buddies to join me. Some of my friends came to my apartment, since they provided transportation to go to Karawang, and the meeting point was my apartment. It’s only five of us. Me and hubby Michael, Fiona and hubby Tom, and Dandy. We traveled with Toyota HiAce. Cool right? The rest went directly to the hotel. Resinda Hotel Karawang.
Styled to bring tropical sophistication and impeccable service to the Karawang industrial area, Resinda Hotel Karawang, managed by Padma Hotels, represent a new era in personalised hospitality. The property features 256 smart rooms together with supporting business and leisure facilities to anticipate the needs of well-travelled executives and their accompanying family members.
Located in an industrial area, it must be very challenging for Resinda. Actually there’s no Padma Hotels in Jakarta. So, I was amazed that they open this hotel with different name, near Jakarta. It’s very very good, since I was Padma Hotels Group’s admirer. And I was very happy to be their first bloggers staycation. My oh my.. Really appreciated the gesture.
Welcome Drink
Lovely presentation. And I believe it was prepared only for us. Hahahahahahaha.. *evil laugh*
The Lobby
Very spacious lobby with very very high ceiling. It was gorgeous. And they have so many seats. There’s no need for guests to worry about not enough place to sit. Hahaha.. By the way, they have uncommon display in the lobby. There’s a jeep. A vintage one. Cool!! My hubby posed right away in front of the jeep. Hahaha. And they have this giant cigarette butt. They told me that only two of a kind. The other one was in the Djarum cigarette factory. Wow! Still, my hubby posed happily with it. LOL.

Actually, Resinda have 5 room types. Deluxe, Signature Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, Premier Suite and Executive Suite. Well, of course, I expected to stay at their executive suite! *please don’t kill me.. just kidding hahaha* I was very happy when they emailed me and told me that we will get Premier Suite. Of course, I didn’t tell my friends at all. Hahahahahahaha.. It’s a surprise!! And I know that my hubby was one of the happy people there. We got 2 TVs. Yaaaay.. Too bad, there’s no glass in between the bathroom and the bedroom. So, we couldn’t watch TV while soaking in the bath tub. Huft.. The bed was huge and comfortable. It’s really hard for us to get up from the bed. Very possessive. LOL. I love the way they spoiled us with Nescafe Gusto. Well, we didn’t try it, but I bet everyone else enjoyed it. 🙂 Anyway, we had to change our room from level 20 to level 19. Again, my trouble with AC. It’s very hot, even though I turned the AC to 5 degree. So, moving to level 19, it was cold enough for us. Thanks Resinda for your help. Such a friendly gesture from your staffs.
Meeting Room
Comprehensive meeting facilities equipped with the finest audiovisual technologies and international meeting services in all part of your meeting and events. Meeting capacity up to 1.500 people.
They have 5 meeting rooms. Nakula, Sadewa, Yudhistira, Bima and Arjuna. Nakula and Sadewa are the big ones, 90 sqm. The rest are only 40 sqm. We forgot to see the Resinda Grand Ballroom and Rama Shinta Hall. But from the information, the Resinda Grand Ballroom, with 1500 sqm, is the biggest facility of its kind in Karawang. The Rama Shinta Hall is for smaller events and is divisible into two smaller areas and five additional breakout rooms, complete with a private foyer.
Lagoon Swimming Pool
It’s only 120cm depth. Very beautiful. It’s surrounded by a stunning view, near fitness centre, steam and sauna facilities. And, actually, the highlight at the hotel is Sento, a traditional Japanese hot tub only for men. Too bad there’s no hot tub for women *sobbing* Well, it’s really good for guests to soak away all traces of stress and muscular tension in a carefree setting. Why Sento? There’s a lot of Japanese in Karawang area. So it’s a really good facilities for those who stayed at Resinda. By the way, I brought my swimsuit but too lazy to swim.. *giggling*
Lunch Time
Tenkai Japanese Restaurant
Tenkai Japanese Restaurant is an exclusive venue specialises in authentic Japanese cuisine served in a mood-enhancing ambiance complete with traditional screens and aesthetic elements. Guests can enjoy freshly prepared light bites from our Sushi Bar or more substantial dishes from a full menu that celebrates the culinary artistry of Japan. Private rooms are also available for a more personalised dining experience and business meeting purpose.
Actually, before checked-in, we had an opportunity to try their Japanese restaurant. Tenkai. I heard about it when it opened in Padma Bali, but haven’t got a chance to try when I was in Bali. So, it’s really a great day for me to have lunch at Tenkai. Woohoo. We arrived first than the others. Darius and his wife Yoanna, Gaby and Vrila came later because they got stuck from traffic jam. When we came into the place, the Japanese ambiance was very strong. The place was quite spacious with Japanese buffet. There’s a painting of a Japanese lady which is very beautiful. I forgot to see the painting at night. They told me that it was very beautiful with the lightings. Maybe next time. And the food was amazing. I love all the buffet. Even the desserts were mouthwatering. The pudding was fan-tas-tic! I loved it. I ate a lot hahaha. But the sushi rolls weren’t my favourite. My favourite was the yaki siumai. Wow, dabomb! And I love those katsu. Amazing. Such a lovely place to have lunch. I will come again, for sure.
