March 29th, 2017. Talking about coffee shops, there’s always a new one. But, this coffee shop wasn’t new. They opened at the end of August 2016. They occupied a small place in Cipete Dalam. On February 2017, they moved to a bigger place. And this time, I should visit the venue. Dua.
Specialist coffee shops were the fastest growing major restaurant category in terms of global sales, beats the international restaurant industry as a whole. Perhaps even more notable is the fact that this growth was consistent across all world regions, specialist coffee shops driven by growing interest in chained café concepts and increasing acceptance of modern, international coffee-drinking culture as a whole. Dua try to introduce Coffee in our neighbourhood, how to brew, and the most important thing is how to respect the coffee itself, we love coffee and we try to bring homey ambiance to our shop. We use 100% arabacia coffee.
My first impression. Spacious. I really love the place. When I came in, I asked them, “Is Raisa here?” Hahaha. They said, “No. But his brother is here.” Well, I didn’t know what to say to her brother, so I just smiled and ordered immediately. Well, actually, Aline and Cindy ordered for us. I went outside and took photos. I was so nervous. LOL. Dua have 2 areas. Smoking room and Non-smoking room. Both of them are comfortable, but I prefer sit in non-smoking area, of course. And I realized that the place used to be a spanish restaurant. It’s so different, since the spanish restaurant was very dark, and this Dua is very bright.
Ice Mocha 40k
This is so good! It’s Aline’s order, but we all loved it. Very rich texture with perfect flavour. I think it’s one of the best ice mocha I’ve ever tried. And I guess, Aline and Cindy agree with me too.
Ice Red Velvet Latte 37k
Simple thing like this could make me very happy. Red velvet latte. With ice. LOL. Perfectly sweet and velvety smooth.
Flat White 30k
It’s Cindy’s order. Good thing she ordered flat white because I could taste it a sip. And it’s really good. Well, lately I could drink flat white since it’s more latte than coffee. Great job, Yen.
Nasi Cumi Hitam Si Taqi 45k
Super recommended! Love the creamy texture of the squid. It was a little bit spicy but I was okay with it. The combination of warm rice, creamy squid, sunny side up and crackers. To-die-for! We actually fought over the rice. We tried everything to make each other gave up the rice hahahahaha. It’s useless, of course. LOL. But this rice was definitely approved by @yennymakanmulu *wink wink*
Russian Honey 30k
Love the presentation. Beautiful cake with caramel and peanut butter. Delicate texture with perfectly sweet flavour. It was indeed a delicious one, but I prefer they added the peanut butter. I need it more! Please gimme more peanut butter!
Choco Crumble Pie 28k
SUPER RECOMMENDED! Love the texture of it. Perfect crust. Love the flavour of it. Beyond compare. We were in love with it. Calling all chocolate lovers! You should try this one when you come to Dua. Must-try! You won’t share!
