December 11th, 2016. Coming to a new coffee shop was always a fun thing to do. Especially when you’re coming with your friends. You could order many beverages and pastries, took many photos, and reviewed it in your blog. It’s so happy to have many friends. That’s what friends are for. Ok back to this new coffee shop, let me introduce to you guys. Expat. Roasters.
Started as a passion project by 2 expat Aussie lads, Expat. Roasters is a specialty coffee producer driven by a desire to produce an exceptional, unpretentious brew, from the ground up. Expat. works closely and respectfully with local Balinese farmers and producers to source the finest local product to compliment their nomadic collection of beans from around the globe. Led by their award-winning* head barista Shae Macnamara, Expat. are working hard to foster the burgeoning coffee and barista community of Bali. Introducing the culture of making a good brew across the island, one cup at a time.
Located next to Sisterfields, Expat. is not as spacious as their sister, but it’s really a nice place to sit, while waiting for tables next door. I will review this place very simple. So, don’t expect too much.🙂
Coffee is first and foremost on the menu, espresso and their chosen form of alternative brew method, the V60, also known as a pourover. Amongst the raw, concrete interior you’ll find Expat treats designed to match the brew being served including house-made banana bread with single-origin espresso butter, Wonderboys – think two brownie cookies hugging flavoured buttercream – and everyone’s favourite, filled donuts. All made fresh, daily.
Silly me, I forgot to take picture of the bill. Well, I hope I will find the bill, and update this review with prices hahaha..
Hot Chocolate
It’s not as good as I hoped, and I really hope they will improve next time I come back.

Banana Bread Espresso Butter Honey 35k
Too bad, this was also not good. I hoped it will be fix my mood after the hot chocolate. But turned out, it’s too dry. Tasted good, but the texture needed a lot of improvement. I will try another cake next time.
See you soon!
