BARUNA Sky Lounge Restaurant & Bar

Located on top of the highest floor of the resort (on the 5th floors), the lounge is open 7 days a week from 4pm to 11pm. Designed with the balance of contemporary art and the modern touch. The outdoor setting with the blend of wooden table, rattan synthetic and special design furniture sets a chilled-out atmosphere for you to maintain some deep conversations or let your mind wander. The areas with a big sized dance floor are where you can party till dawn.

We loved it! The place is really entertaining. We laughed, took photos, sometimes danced hahaha. There’s a DJ started at 5pm. I saw a chapel at the end of the floor. While Darius had the courage to come inside, I stayed away from the place. I had no idea why, but I didn’t have the guts to come to a dark place. Yes, from outside, it’s dark hahahaha. I prefer the brighter place to visit. Hohoho. Anyway, back to the place, it was such a comfortable place to hang out with friends. You can order food and beverages too. Enjoy the music. Ugh I miss the place.

HIU Restaurant & Wine Lounge is an all-day restaurant and lounge with an edgy decor that elevates the experience of the hotel wining and dining. Decorative hardwood structuring and elaborate land stone columns are complemented by clean-line table settings in an environment that blends seamlessly into the outdoors. Designed with the balance of contemporary art and the old wooden. The overall look is a playful take on the dynamics of hospitality design. HIU Restaurant & Wine Lounge has an open-plan kitchen serving modern cuisine and classic dishes.

LUNCH TIME

HIU Restaurant & Wine Lounge offers a wide range of inspired cuisines from International cuisines such as Western, Asian to the Local Indonesia Food and served selective of Wine. The perfect meal isn’t the ending. Rather, it’s one stop on a journey of simple pleasures that will satisfy just about every taste. Your mornings, afternoons and evenings are covered with the perfect blend if the inspired cuisine is paired with the relaxing surroundings.

The lunch was a complimentary from Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa. Really appreciated it. They served 6 dishes, 2 desserts and 3 beverages. Then, we started to taste the food.

Red Dragon Mojito 95k

Vodka, blackcurrant liqueur, lime juice, dragon fruit, lime wedges, mint leaf, lemon sliced and sprite

2 layers of light rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, vodka, strawberry fruit, and sweet sour

Mixture of apple, mint leaf, grape, vodka, sweet sour, lemon and tonic water

Green Curry Oxtail 125k

Served with onion, green pepper, leek, coriander leaf, green curry paste served with steam rice

From the first bite until the last, the bowl never left my side too long. It’s very very delicious. The oxtail was tender and juicy. It’s so tender, I found it’s easy to cut the meat from the bone. The curry soup was tasty and addicting.  Super recommended!

Spicy BBQ Pork Ribs 150k

Spicy BBQ sauce, pork ribs, steam rice and mixed salad

I didn’t really like the BBQ sauce. The pork ribs’ texture was very nice. But the problem, I couldn’t enjoy the meat if I didn’t enjoy the sauce. So, yeah, I only ate a couple of bites. Then, I came back to the oxtail hahaha..

Vegetables Cream Pasta 103k

Fresh young vegetables, spaghetti, cooking cream and egg yolk

Tasteless. Flavourless. I hope it will be tastier next time I come back to the restaurant. The texture of the spaghetti was perfect for me. But, I needed more savoury taste.

Rainbow clam, dried chili, lemon basil, white wine, chop garlic and fettucinni

Same with the previous dish. Tasteless. Flavourless. I only enjoyed the clam. The fettucinni needed more improvement. It didn’t have any salty or savoury taste. *sobbing*

Nasi Campur Bali 91k

Authentic Balinese rice with ayam betutu, minced chicken in banana leaf, lawar sayuran with peanut and sate lilit, with spicy egg

It’s one of the most extraordinary presentations I’ve every seen. Huge crock. Love the minced chicken in banana leaf. It was aromatic and flavourful. Local food at its best. Simple yet satisfying. The spicy egg reminded me of egg balado from Nasi Padang hihihi.

Nasi Gado Gado 85k

Our special dish with Pork ribs, egg fried rice, chicken satay served chili peanut sauce

It’s different gado-gado from Jakarta. The pork ribs was super delicious. The egg fried rice was well-seasoned. It’s quite nice for a delightful lunch. I was too full because of the oxtail, that’s why I didn’t finish it.

Tiramisu 50k

Served in Martini Glass top with Chocolate and Icing Sugar

This super-simple Italian dessert actually became exclusive with the Martini Glass. Fluffy texture with irresistible flavour. One of the best tiramisu.

Hot Chocolate Fondant 60k

Baked in 25 Minutes, with Chocolate Ice Cream and Fresh Fruit Salad

I finished the lunch time with this sinful dessert. Hot chocolate with chocolate ice cream. Dabomb. I’m a huge chocolate lover. And this dessert has a divine melting texture with sweet and sexy flavour. I was satisfied. Recommended!
