March 29th, 2017. When we talk about dessert, the first thing that came into my mind was chocolate. Yup, chocolate is my favourite word. I think everything with chocolate is always delicious. So.. when they opened a chocolate cafe on early February, I was like, “Hmmm.. chocolateeeee!!!” By the way, I came to this venue with Aline, Cindy, Hans and Vania. Yes, let’s visit this one. MOREAU.
Located in Kemang area, it’s very very easy to find. It’s precisely on the roadside of Kemang Raya street. If you came from Jalan Bangka, you just go straight, and it’s on the left side of Kemang Raya. They said it used to be a restaurant called Pong Me! Well back to MOREAU. It’s not a place to do your #OOTD things. It’s not a place to do a lot of photoshoot. It’s not a beautiful cafe. It’s just a place that serve my favourite dessert, Chocolate. Actually, I’m waiting this kind of cafe since forever. When a chocolate cafe came to Tangerang area, I wished they had something like that in Jakarta. And voila, MOREAU came into my life. *dancing* It’s just a simple cafe with 2 levels. Level 1 was the kitchen and dining room. And you can also see coffee machine and 3 chocolate fountains *whoozaaaah*. Level 2 was for the smoking area. It’s not huge, but it’s pretty comfy. The black and yellow colours dominate the space. Lovely.

Rich Belgian chocolate drink with chocolate bits of your choice (white, milk, dark.)
It’s Hans’ order. I tried a sip, and fell in love. It’s not too sweet, and the texture was very rich. Recommended for ice chocolate lovers.

This was definitely my favourite. And the art was simple but very very pretty. I saw myself when the chef/barista/chocolatier *I have no idea what to call him hahahaha* made it for me. Uuuuugh so pretty. The art, yaaaaaa. Not the chocolatier hahahahha.. It was such a delicious dark chocolate flavour. Recommended drink, for sure.

French crepe, filled with assorted fresh fruits, drizzled with Belgian chocolate of your choice.

We all love it. It’s sweet but fresh at the same time. The milk chocolate wasn’t as sweet as I thought. And it’s addicting. Lovely presentation with the pretty chocolate art. And the milk chocolate coated the strawberry, banana and kiwi. Such a perfect combination. Favourite!
Fondant 58k
Moist chocolate cake filled with molten rich chocolate. Topped with chocolate and scoop of creamy ice cream.
I saw this chocolate cake everywhere on Instagram. So, when we finally came, we must order this one. It’a a chocolate lava with amazing texture and very beautiful chocolate art. I’m in love with their chocolate art. We chose dark chocolate, but.. I think it’s sweeter than the milk chocolate. I wonder why hmmm.. Well, maybe next time I will try it first, before I consume the other things. But for truly chocolate lovers people, you should try this one. At least, once. Once a week? LOL!
I will be back. No ifs ands or buts. Like they always said, “Forget love. I’d rather fall in chocolate.”
