March 7th, 2017. Finally visited this place with Aline, Cindy and Ivan. Hooray. It was quite viral because it belongs to a celebrity chef. Eclectic cuisine concept of modern French & Japanese dishes by Chef Juna Rorimpandey. Correlate.
Correlate is the culmination of an extensive culinary passion, featuring an easeful dining room fit for a delightful feast and a refined lounge that favors warm social affairs.
From outside, I coudn’t imagine what’s inside. When I came, I felt a little bit “wow what a fancy place” feeling. But not that intimidating. The people there were very friendly. And OMG! I saw Chef Juna myself, I was so shy to ask him for a selfie hahaha.. I just looked at him and smiled. *blushing* Ok back to the place. Located in Menara Rajawali, Correlate was very easy to find since it’s in the front area of the building. It’s very spacious with different kind of tables. Just drop by and see for yourself.
Correlate’s menu changes daily, catering the best of seasonal ingredients and Chef Juna’s broad inspirations. It is familiar yet unusual, inspired by French and Japanese culinary that may appeal to a diverse type of palates. Comfortably furnished and decorated in highlights of spring and autumn seasons, Correlate juts out an eclectic and incredible tale of a passionate culinary journey.

Such a delicious twist. Most people are delighted by mac ‘n cheese, but I have preference. I love it when it’s smooth and creamy. It’s gooey and cheesy. Classic. Served in a plate, this mac ‘n cheese stole my heart at the first aroma. They use 2 kinds of cheese. Chevre and Grana Padano. Délicieux.
Goat cheese, goats’ cheese, or chèvre, is cheese made from goat’s milk.

Mango mousse, almond dacquoise
Great texture of the mango mousse. Love the almond dacquiose. Dacquoise is a dainty little cake layer with crisp and sweet. It is a light meringue that has almond folded into it and baked in a thin layer. Hmm.. yum..

Love it! The ingredients mixed beautifully, created a fresh and delicious salad dish. A wonderful blend with a light tasty dressing. I didn’t like salad, remember? But I love this.

Chasoba (Green Tea Buckwheat Noodles) with Japanese Littleneck Clams and Prawns 91k
Shisito peppers, frisée, shichimi togarashi
At first I thought it’s a cold soba, but the server said it’s not cold. So yeah I agreed to choose this dish. Turned out, it’s very delightful. Love the texture, and it’s really genius to put japanese littleneck clams and prawns to accompany the chasoba. The frisée salad enhanced the beautiful presentation of it. Recommended!
Cha Soba noodles are soba noodles made from buckwheat and wheat flour with the added ingredient of fresh green tea leaves.
Venerupis philippinarum is an edible species of saltwater clam, a marine bivalve mollusk in the family Veneridae, the Venus clams. The common names of the species include “Asari” (after its Japanese name), “Japanese littleneck”, “Manila clam”, “steamer clam”, “Filipino Venus”, “Japanese cockle”, and “Japanese carpet shell”.

A different kind of dessert. The bowl was pretty! Hihihi. I wanted to keep it in my bag, too bad there’s people everywhere. Hahahaha just kidding! Actually Cindy wanted to keep it in her bag. LOL! Ok, the peppermint mousse was smooth and silky. Delicious cardamom ice cream and chocolate honeycomb. And I want it, right now. Hmmm..
