February 12th, 2017. I saw their Instagram account and told my friends. “They open 8am!!!” So, that Sunday morning, I woke up and got ready and grabbed online car to the coffee shop. Only to find that it still close. Lucky me, Leo arrived just about 10 minutes after the online car left me alone there *sigh* So, we moved to another place and met Darius. After that, we went back to the place at 10am. Gaby and Vrila had already there. Guten Morgen.
Located in Mandala Utara street, it was not far from my sister’s house. She lived at Tomang area. It’s really nearby. When I went inside, I saw some familiar faces there. *waving my hand to Alvian and Steven* For me, the place is very lovely. Full of flowers and plants, it’s like an oasis in the middle of busy road. Mimsy Botanical. Find their little hide out at the back side of Guten Morgen. You’ll be amazed by the adorable garden there.
Choco Milk 35k
As usual I ordered non coffee drink. But actually I prefer dark chocolate than milk chocolate. But I didn’t have any choice. Choco milk, then. Looked very promising, but it’s still milk chocolate. So, yeah maybe I will try another drink, next time hehehehe
Cappuccino 30k
It’s a little bit milky, that’s why I liked it hahahahaha.. Always love milky coffee.
Kaffee Cubes 40k
Definitely most interesting in presentation. I didn’t try the coffee, but according to Gaby, it’s the most recommended one.
Chasu Donburi 48k
The perfect sunny side up. Too bad I had very high expectation to this dish. For me, tasted nothing special. I didn’t take part in the food ordering. But I heard from my friends that it was the server’s recommendation. Well, maybe they should put something different to the dish. I don’t know. Hmm.. more chasu maybe? LOL!
Wagyu Lasagne 40k
When I saw this men *my mistake* I put too much expectation too. Turned out *again* there’s nothing special in it. Those layers were too thin. I prefer thick layers. And the wagyu wasn’t generous at all. I think the best thing in the lasagne was the cheese. Please, I need more taste in it.
Thanks to Guten Morgen, they have an amazing person to take care of their Instagram’s account. When I complained about the opening hours, they said sorry and offered me a complimentary drink. Too bad we’re already had food tasting event to go. So, maybe next time. Thank you!!
