December 12th, 2016. Starting our journey in Canggu. Yaaaay. New area. Hihihi. Well, we wanted to hang around Canggu on our May trip, but we didn’t have the time. So, when we went again on December, we commited to go around Canggu. So, for our first cafe. The Nest – Home Cafe.
The Nest is a home café in Canggu and caters to specific few that like the feeling of having a meal at “home.”
This hidden gem was a beautiful place. It’s always good to find a new Instagenic place to visit in Bali. At the first sight, I knew that I will be happy taking photos of the place hahaha. The outdoor was small with a long bar table. Actually, The Nest has 2 floors. The first floor is like a floor in a home with open kitchen. There’s big table in the middle. Kitchen in a corner. The second level is like a minimalist living room/co-working space in a home. Surely, when you came in, you could say, “home sweet home.” It’s very beautiful.
Little thing I know, my friend saw the name of the owner, and googled it. And we found out that she was a colleague of my friend in Bali. I asked him and he said yes. That’s all. LOL. Well, we met her when we came upstair. *giggling*
Cappuccino 25k
The cappuccino was a little bit too much milk, I guess. But, that’s fine for me.🙂
Piccolo 20k
Love the piccolo. Turned out, I prefer piccolo than the other types of coffee.
Iced Chocolate 45k
I put high expectation to this one. It looked so tantalize. But when I tried this iced chocolate, too much water. There should be a love-hate relationship in this iced chocolate, between dark chocolate and sweet sugar. But, I didn’t get the shiver of it. Please, more chocolate!
Grilled Cheese Sandwich 30k
Not in the mood for eating sandwich, actually. Turned out, the sourdough was a lil bit hard to chew. And I couldn’t get the melted-cheese texture. Too bad, huh?
