March 11th, 2017. A little bit late than other foodies, finally I came to this place with my hubby. I heard about it and very curious. I heard that William Gozali (Winner of MasterChef Indonesia 3) is the man behind the gun. Port Five Six.
When we arrived, it’s very hard to park our car. I asked my hubby to drop me in front of the place, while he searched for the parking space. I saw that the place was on level 2. The 1st level is occupied by another venue. And they still had construction too. So, it’s not really a nice experience at the time. But, I was so curious about the food there, I forced myself to go upstair. It’s very crowded. But, when I was in the middle of thinking whether I should move to another place of just stay, we got table. Yaaaay! It’s actually a very lovely place. For those who love to take #OOTD photos, it’s heaven, I guess. And, yes, I still curious about the name. What’s the meaning behind the name. Hope someone will give me enlightenment about it. 🙂 It’s about their address. Number 5-6. I got it.
Iced Tea 20k
Strawberry Iced Tea 25k
Chashu Don 58k
Braised Pork Belly, Steamed Rice, Fried egg
We love pork. So when we saw this menu, we were so happy. At first, I sent text to Maria Karina (William Gozali’s future wife) to ask for dish recommendation. But when she answered my question, I’ve already chose the Chashu Don. So, maybe next time ya. 🙂 Now let’s talk about this chashu don. When I tried a spoonful, I saw my hubby, and said to him, “My goodness!” Then, he tried by himself, and he looked at me, and smiled widely. Well, @yennymakanmulu and @mikenontonmulu approved! Hahahaha. The pork belly was delicate and melt in your mouth. I didn’t care about the steamed rice or the fried egg. The luscious pork belly stole my heart already. Super recommended!
Cannot wait to be back again. Wait for us, Port Five Six.
