August 7th, 2017. 2 months ago, I went to Anomali Coffee at Setiabudi One. Actually, I’ve been there several times, but lately it’s always full.


I came to Anomali to try their latest menus. Well, Anomali Coffee is not only famous for its coffee but also for its delicious food. Every time I went there and ordered the food, I was very happy. The place is also comfortable. For coffee, for lunch and for me-time. And then, they created new menus.

Chicken Egg Rolls 49k

Indonesian traditional light bites, one of local street heritage, chicken-based roll up with tofu skin, accompanied by a dip of chili sauce.

There’s nothing could beat an old school recipe, we proudly dish up a mouth-watering siomay from way back then that bring back a childhood memories, just douse it with chili vinegar in an ancient way.

This meal is a winner, primarily comes from East Java, simply adjusted from the prominent one “RAWON SOUP”, the black substance of Kluwek in the ingredients gives a new meaning toward Surabaya’s local pride.

Roa Fish Pasta 40k

The legendary meals from North Sulawesi has bring all the way to our kitchen, revealed the rice of exciting yet unique flavours of Roa fish that originate from Manadonese. Most wanted pasta with scrumptious ingredients, as it contain a strong spice and richness of Roa fish.

Egg Salted Pasta 40k

Infinite indulgence in a heart-warming food. This creamy salted pasta, fulfil with roasted garlic, chicken and ended up with a perfection of finest salted egg yolks, undeniably delish yet dashing pasta.

I tried them all and my favourite was Rawon Fried Rice. Super recommended!
The Roa Fish Pasta was too spicy.
The Egg Salted Pasta needed a stronger flavour on the salted egg.
Well, next time I will try their other menus.

Gelato Secrets at Setiabudi One Jakarta

August 7th, 2017. Finally, Gelato Secrets opened at Setiabudi One. Yaaaaaay! When I saw their sign, I was hoping every single day hahaha.. Around 10:30 I dropped by to Gelato Secrets and did my photoshoot there.


Gelato Secrets was founded by Maria Indah and Gregory Carlo Lentini. They were inspired by their childhood memories and a shared love and passion for gelato. First shop was in Ubud in 2009. They use only 100% natural, fresh ingredients from carefully selected suppliers, free from artificial flavouring, colouring and preservatives, comprising both Italian classics and exotic Indonesian flavours derived from seasonal local fruits and spices.

I looooooooove this new outlet! So much in love! It’s very beautiful with pink and green and wooden ambiance. The sofa area was very comfortable. I saw a couple sitting there and didn’t wanna leave hahaha. Then a man had meeting there with his colleague. Love the playlist too. Soothing. And the people, OMG, very friendly. Just go there and enjoy the place.

Thai Street at Setiabudi One Jakarta

May 20th, 2017. I took my nephews for lunch at Thai Street. My sister told me about this place, just opened in Setiabudi One. Yaaaay. I wanted to try their food since I heard about it. But, never had a chance to visit their outlet in Alam Sutera. So, when I knew they opened nearby my place, I was very excited. Another yaaaay..


I didn’t have a chance to talk to the owner, but I guess they’re inspired by the street food in Bangkok. They offer Thai cuisine with casual concept and very reasonable price. The place was almost similar with the other outlets, I guess. Please enjoy my simple review, as usual. 🙂

Chicken Wrapped Pandan Leaves 48k

Love the chicken pandan. Marinated chicken with spices and wrapped with aromatic pandan leaves. I think it’s a must-order dish in every Thai restaurant. Tasted delicious with tender texture. Served with sesame dipping sauce which complements the subtle flavor of the chicken.

Tom Yam Seafood 68k

I asked my nephew to try it first. I was afraid it’s too spicy for me. Then, he said, “It’s not that spicy. Try it.” So, I tried, and fell in love with the broth. It’s so delicious with fresh flavour from the broth, and fresh seafood as the ingredients. Tom Yam is a popular dish from Thailand. Super recommended dish!

Imperial Tables at Setiabudi One Jakarta

February 27th, 2017. End of year 2016, Imperial Cakery closed. My sister and I, we were so sad, because it’s one of our favourite places to buy bread and cakes. But, at the begining of year 2017, I saw a notice that they will open a new concept there. We waited for the date to come, of course. Last week, I walked by the place and it said, will be open on Feb 27th. Last night, I asked them what time they will open, and they said, “8am miss. Please come tomorrow.” And here I am. Imperial Tables.


When I walked in, I was stunned by their ambiance. It’s very different from the previous one. Well, they changed the concept, but they still selling bread and cakes. The ambiance was comfortable and very friendly. Feel like home. I talked to the manager there, and he said, Imperial Cakery in Setiabudi One now rebranding to Imperial Tables. Imperial Tables is one of the Imperial Group brands.

Founded in 2005, the Imperial Group is a leader in conceptualizing, developing and operating one of the best group of restaurants in the region. Each of the establishments is having their own identity and fit for every ages. The garlic bread was crispy and crunchy with combination of savoury and sweet taste. The sesame seeds take this classic to the next level. Scrumptious! Crunchy on the skin, fluffy on the bread. Worth every single calorie LOL.

Cheese Baked Rice with Grilled Chicken 35k

Chicken pieces topped savoury and tasty fried rice, smothered with a special grave and melted cheese and broiled to perfection.

Perfect for my taste bud. The melted cheese mixed with the fried rice and chicken pieces, delivered a heaven in my mouth. Golden colour and bubbly with plenty of cream and extra-sharp melted cheese. Hmmm.. Didn’t mean to exaggerate, but I could say that this was one of the best baked rice I’ve ever tried. Served in hot bowl, smell so good, tasted super duper delightful, it made me feel like on cloud nine. My tummy happy, I was overjoyed. Recommended.

The People’s Cafe at Setiabudi One Jakarta

November 19th, 2016. One fine day. I walked to Setiabudi One. Yes, I had an event at the day. One of Ismaya’s restaurant. Introducing new menus. I wonder. Hmm.. Since they changed their name *previously known as Ismaya’s Catering*, I never tried their food properly. I asked them, “Can I bring my 2 friends? *they’re available that saturday*” And they said yes. Well, some place sometimes limited us with the “valid only for 1” invitation. But Ismaya is one of the best hosts. They welcome everybody. So, I brought Gaby and Vrila at the day. The People’s Cafe.


The place is very lovely. Since they opened in Setiabudi One, I always wanted to come but I didn’t wanna come in alone. They opened early, like 8am everyday. They have smoking and non-smoking area. At the time, I came early so I could take pictures first. By the way, they have Djournal Coffee stall there inside the place. So you can order some drinks from Djournal at The People’s Cafe.

Turns out, it’s their signature menu. They was surprised that I haven’t tried this hahaha. Well, it’s my first time having lunch there. So of course I never tried their “es sirsak.” It’s really delicious. Fresh, sweet and addictive.

It’s Gaby’s order. I tried a sip and I agreed with Gaby and Vrila. Worth the price.

They should call it Bowl of Heaven instead of salted egg chicken hahahaha.. The chicken coated with salted egg yolk sauce was a good idea. Served it with rice and sunny-side-up egg was brilliant! It’s very well-seasoned. Perfect! Most recommended! The salted egg yolk sauce was beyond compare!

Warm rice porridge topped with fried shredded chicken, shallots, peanuts & served with crackers.

My favourite! And fun fact: Vrila never liked porridge, but she said this was DELICIOUS! I was very happy, I told Kikky and Shalita about it. And they were so happy, just like me. Well, it’s not important, of course. I just wanna share the story hahahaha.. Well, the texture of the porridge was perfect. Just perfect for my palate. Tasted so good. Recommended!


Nasi Mawut T.P.C. 38k

White rice mixed with seaweed, topped with green noodles, minced chicken in green chili sauce & a sunny side up egg. Garnished with  sliced chilies, carrots & spring onion.

What an outstanding dish. Rice with noodles with egg. Just imagining the words, make me drooling. Mawut means messy. So, you need to mix the rice and noodles and egg, like a messy dish. I think I will order it next time I go to TPC.

Toasted bread with banana, hazelnut chocolate, coconut, peanut & mozzarella cheese.

Delightful combination. Everything with hazelnut chocolate and mozzarella cheese was definitely delicious. The toasted bread was also delicious with crispy texture. Love it.

Toasted bread with corned beef, egg & cheese.

Super recommended. The creamy corned beef with egg and cheese. It’s really good to eat this in the morning. Sitting in the corner, munching this roti bakar, while finishing my blog on my laptop. Heaven.

Love the omelette and beef sausage. Really a big breakfast for me. I didn’t try the chicken ham and sauteed potato. Well, must be back again to order this one. Wait for me!!!

Boiled egg noodle soup with shredded chicken, egg, cabbage, tomatoes, green chilies, candlenuts, garlic & spring onion. Sprinkled with fried shallots.


I didn’t try all the food. Sorry. It’s just too much for my tummy. But, I can tell you right now, Bubur Ayam Kota and Salted Egg Chicken will always be my favourite. LOL. Thank you The People’s Cafe for the generous dishes. Will be back real soon!

Samwon House Setiabudi One Jakarta

January 7th, 2016. I went to Setiabudi One with my nephew. I was invited to a food tasting at SamWon House. We were so excited. It’s my first time there. I love Korean food but prefer the non-halal one. Hahahaha.. So that’s why I never went to SamWon House LOL. But, I guess they must be good. I tried their product from SamWon Shop and it’s really really good. 🙂

SamWon House is a Korean restaurant that was established by SamWon Group (Holding Company of SamWon House, SamWon Express & K-Drink) on November 2010. This Restaurant serves a variety of savory authentic Korean cuisine made of handpicked ingredients and is accompanied by a classical and traditional Korean atmosphere that brings forth nostalgic feels with its historical decorations. SamWon Group holds the biggest chain of Korean Restaurant in Indonesia, with the following established brands: SamWon House, SamWon Express and K-drink with the addition of SamWon Shop (Online Shopping For Delicious Foods & Korean Best Products). The Ambiance

I stepped my foot inside and felt like in Korea. LOL. Kidding!!! I’ve never went to Korea hahaha. But, I guess it’s Korean’s ambiance. At the wall, they put their traditional Hanbok. Hanbok (South Korea) or Joseon-ot (North Korea) is the traditional Korean dress. It is often characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines without pockets. Although the term literally means “Korean clothing”, hanbok today often refers specifically to clothing of the Joseon period and is worn as semi-formal or formal wear during traditional festivals and celebrations. Dominated with wooden furnitures, SamWon House felt so cozy and warm. Unfortunately it’s all smoking room. But, good thing, no one was smoking when I was there.

Gogi Gui – Korean Berbeque

Korean barbecue or gogi gui, refers to the Korean method of grilling beef, chicken, or other types of meat. Such dishes are often prepared at the dinner table on gas or charchoal grills that are built into the centre of the table itself. The most typical form of Korean barbecue is galbi, made from marinated beef short ribs. Popular among korean consumers but it is also enjoyed internationally.

Perfectly cooked. They cooked it in front of me. I asked for medium well. It was delicious. The meat was still juicy. The sauce was sweet. And I ate them wrapped in lettuce. Just like they all did in Korean movie. Hahahaha..

Jeonggol – Korean Shabu-shabu

Jeonggol is a category of elaborate stews or casseroles in Korean cuisine. Jeonggol was originally a dish for upper-class Korean and members of the royal court. Jeonggol usually contains sliced beef and/or seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, and other seasonings, which are boiled with a small amount of broth in a jeongolteul (pot used for cooking jeonggol). They may also include mandu (dumplings). Some of Jeonggol are spicy containing added gochujang or chili pepper powder, although these ingredients may be omitted. The variety of broth used varies according to the type of jeonggol being prepared.

I was in a mood for shabu-shabu. Yup, it’s always an addiction for me. The meat and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. We finished it in a flash. LOL. I guess we’re so hungry. The broth was very rich and well-seasoned. Always love warm broth on rainy days.

Bibimbap – Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap

Bibimbap is a popular Korean dish. The word literally means “mixed rice.” Bibimbap is sever as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautĂ©ed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste). A raw of fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating. It can be served either cold or hot.

Mixed rice. Always love mixed rice. At first I thought it will be super spicy. But turned out, it’s only a mild one. The fun thing about bibimbap: you just mixed all the ingredients. And the portion was so big. We finished it slowly but sure. LOL. Actually it’s a simple dish but it will make you obsessed about it. As you can see below, the egg was so tempting. Recommended dish!

Overall, SamWon House serves delicious dish with authentic flavour. I think I will be back for their Korean pancake and Japchae. See yo soon.
