Sudoet Tjerita at Tanjung Duren Grogol Jakarta

June 25th, 2017. I knew about this coffee shop when a bunch of people posted it on their instagram. The unique name caught my attention. Sudoet Tjerita. Why not Soedoet Tjerita? Then, I got the answer when I came to the place. “We wanna make it different.” LOL. It’s different, indeed. Anyway, Sudoet Tjerita means story in a corner. It’s very near of Neo Soho Mall and Central Park Mall. And yes, so sorry that I need more than a month to write about this place. So busy! *sobbing*


Before we came, I texted them to ask what time they will be opened. They said 8am. Then I came around 10:30. And they were still closed. Turned out, they forgot to tell me that they will be opened around 11 or 11:30. So we waited in front of the place until someone came. The place was pretty. Homey ambiance and friendly people. I don’t have to say anything, you guys can see the interior at my photos below.

Nougat Roll Cake

When I came they only had this nougat roll cake. Good thing, I love nougat cake. So, I happily ordered this one. The delicate texture. The sweet nutty flavour. I could taste the chocolaty flavour too. Well, I hope I can try another food there. 🙂

Uncle Tetsu Indonesia at Central Park Mall Tanjung Duren Jakarta

April 14th, 2017. Holiday! Time to drag my hubby to mall that far from my home. LOL. I think it’s time for Central Park Mall. I wanted to take photos of the latest cake shop there. Well, there’s so many pro and contra about the cake. And I will tell you my opinion here. Uncle Tetsu.


Located on LG floor at the bridge between Central Park and Neo Soho, Uncle Tetsu is easy to find. If you walk from Central Park, it’s on the left side. If you walk from Neo Soho, it’s on the right side. It’s easy to spot the venue. The one with the long queue. Everybody is very curious about the place.

Signature Cheesecake 80k

I read a lot about this one before I tried it myself. Some people told me that it’s just okay, not that delicious. Some people said that it was super delicious. But when I tried it myself, in my humble opinion, it’s too cheesy. Remember, that I don’t like cheese in a cake? But next time I will buy it again and eat it right away. I ate my cheesecake when it’s already put it in the chiller. So, the texture changed, I think.

Porto Bistreau at Central Park Mall CP Tanjung Duren Jakarta

February 26th, 2017. I found out that this restaurant opened a new outlet at Central Park Mall. Lucky me, my friend worked for the Altima Group, and he invited me to try their Breakfast set menu. I went there with my hubby and met fellow foodies there. Porto Bistreau.


Porto, an Italian word meaning port in English, takes patrons to “visit” various harbours for a world culinary adventure.

I’ve never went to their Serpong outlet. Everybody said that it was lovely, but it’s too far from my place. So, when I heard about this Central Park outlet, I was very happy. Finally, I could try this place. Plus, I could take my hubby with me, yaaaaay.. It’s so rare, actually. Hahaha. He’s not comfortable eating with foodies. It’s not his crowd, he thought. Well, at Porto, he sat separate from our table *but still beside me* and happily blogging about his latest movie hahahaha.. And, we sat at outside area, near the Tribeca.

I didn’t try this menu, but my hubby said that it was very delicious. The hanging tender beef was luscious, succulent and tender enough. They said it’s favourite! No wonder my hubby loved it. “Melt in your mouth!” he said with happy face.

Never got bored with egg. Scramble eggs, especially. Not a fan of sourdough, so yeah I just ate the scramble eggs. The sea salt butter was too salty for me. But I love their balsamic fruits salad. Different taste with any other salad.

It’s a new drink, I guess. Everybody loves it, except me. Well, I love the chocolate and the mozzarella, but I didn’t like the banana. It’s not sweet and a little bit bitter. I hope next time it will be better.

Gyoza Bar Tribeca Central Park Mall Jakarta

October 9th, 2016. It’s always happy to hear about new place. I knew that they will be a new restaurant in Central Park Mall. I kinda waited for them to inform me about the opening. One day, I got their email. Yaaaay, finally. And funny thing, Darius at the same time told me about this place. He really wanted to go there. So, why don’t we go there together? Gyoza Bar.


MIDTOWN GROUP is Proud to announce the opening of GYOZA BAR, a Modern Japanese Fusion specializing in Gyoza and Japanese style Cocktails – The first of its kind in Indonesia.


Located at Tribeca in Central Park Mall, GYOZA BAR was conceptualized by two best friends – Chef Sambas (MIDTOWN CORPORATE CHEF) and Chef Andy Ho (GYOZA BAR’s EXECUTIVE CHEF), both of whom have had more than 15 years of successful careers in various award winning restaurants in North America, such as À L’Os (Montreal), L’Atelier (Montreal), Morimoto (Philadelphia) and Yoshimoto (New Jersey).

It’s a unique place because they called it bar, but it’s more like a cheerful place. For me, Bar usually dark and mysterious. But this bar, is very cute with swing chair, colourful murals, adorable pillows, etc. Well, maybe, they wanna be different from any other bars. 🙂

Creamy Japanese Chicken corn soup with green tea oil

Love it. It’s creamy, sweet and very thick. It’s maybe too thick and too creamy, but it’s okay for me. Served with fried breadstick, you should dip it into the soup while it’s hot. Delicious.

Pottage is a thick soup or stew made by boiling vegetables, grains, and, if available, meat or fish. It was a staple food from neolithic times to the Middle Ages.


Gyoza Bar Roll 85k

Shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy aioli, scallions, avocado with mentai salmon on it

Everything with mentai is the best. So, should I say more? Crunchy texture. Not too big size, so you could swallow it without hesitation whether it will fit to your mouth or not hahahahaha. Recommended!

Aioli or aïoli is a Mediterranean sauce made of garlic and olive oil and, in some regions other emulsifiers such as egg.

Braised pork belly with our homemade bun

Fluffy bun with sweet pork belly. But I prefer they make it more interesting in the presentation.The pork belly is too small. Huft. Let’s make it bigger LOL. But, the taste was superb.

Beef Kimchi Nabe 65k

Thin sliced beef hotpot with homemade kimchi

When I saw this one, I thought it will be super spicy. Turned out, it’s quite flavourless. I think it needed more spices. Too bad, because I put so much hope to this one. It’s really a promising dish. We told the chef, and he thanked us for being honest. He will review this dish later.

My most favourite. Tasty, savoury, delectable, heavenly, appetizing, luscious, and everything with the same meaning of delicious. Combination of spam, cheese, egg, rice. OMG! I was very happy. It will be on my list for my next visit. It was richly spiced and flavorful. Most recommended!

Homemade almond flavoured tofu with caramel sauce

I thought it will be super smooth like a pudding. Turned out it’s like jelly. It’s good because it’s not super sweet. Very nice for someone who wanna reduce overly sweet dessert.


Black Sesame Bread Pudding 55k

De-li-ci-ous. It’s not overly sweet. Perfect texture. We loved it!! The aroma of black sesame is addicting. The additional meringue was a genius touch. Yes, because I love meringue!! LOL! Super duper recommended!

Love it. Gin and Tonic never failed me.

It’s good but I prefer the Japanese Farmer. LOL.

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Central Park Mall Jakarta

July 14th, 2015. July 25th, 2015. I went twice to Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Different outlets. First, at Central Park Mall. Second, at Pantai Indah Kapuk. So, how should I do the review? Hmm..  Ok, I will show you the outlet at Pantai Indah Kapuk because it’s the first outlet. Then after that, outlet at Central Park Mall. 🙂 Btw, I knew Song Fa from Singapore. I always went to Singapore to eat Song Fa because it’s the best bak kut teh in Singapore, so far, for me. And they opened last year in Jakarta. I was invited on their first opening, but it’s too far from my home, so I waited a year to try the place. LOL. And good thing about that, I didn’t need to queue for too long when I had my lunch or dinner there.


Their first outlet was amazing. It reminded me of the Singapore’s outlets. They had beautiful lamps and flowers. A very comfortable place to eat Bak Kut Teh. Located on the 1st floor of Ozone Mall, it was very eye-catching with the wooden furnitures and beautiful lamps. They had indoor and outdoor seats.

The outlet in Central Park was more like a modern restaurant. They had indoor, semi outdoor and outdoor seats. I prefer the PIK outlet because it reminded me to their Singapore’s outlet at New Bridge Road, Singapore. Ugh, I miss the place. LOL.

Pork Ribs Soup 68k/88k

This was my favourite. In Singapore, in PIK, in CP, I always ordered this menu. Pork Ribs Soup with rice and dough fritters. Hmm.. drooling!! The pork ribs were so tender and juicy. The soup was tasty. Clear yet rich. Love it. But, I didn’t like the rice in CP outlet. Too fragrant for a rice. I prefer in PIK outlet. And the soup in PIK outlet was more peppery than in CP outlet. And I loved it when the staffs continually offered to add the soup for free. Yaaaay.. I love free stuffs. LOL. Btw, you should dip the dough fritters into the soup. It was super delicious.

This was my friend’s order. I didn’t try it. So, I had no idea how’s the taste. But my friend said to me that it was delicious.


Mee Sua Plain 15k

This was also my friend’s order. I tried and for me this was quite delicious. The texture was great. Reminded me of my mom’s mee sua. My family had tradition every birthday should eat mee sua. 🙂


Again, I was so happy that Song Fa opened in Jakarta, finally. I don’t need to fly to Singapore only for this Bak Kut Teh LOL. Keep up the good job, Song Fa. See you again, soon.

Hogs Breath Cafe Saloon and Grill Central Park Mall Jakarta

July 14th, 2015. Finally, I came to Hogs Breath Cafe, Saloon and Grill at Central Park Mall. They invited me for their grand launching at the end of May but I couldn’t come. So when I came to Central Park, I decided to try this place.


Australia’s renowned Steakhouse, Hog’s Breath Café, in collaboration with PT. Indophoenix Global, has opened its first outlet in Jakarta since June 2014. Located in the breezy outdoor-facing area of Tribeca Park in Central Park Mall, Hog’s Breath Café Saloon & Grill Jakarta has been serving authentic western cuisine and beverages to its patrons whilst providing a fun casual dining atmosphere.

Let me show you around the place 🙂 It’s not very spacious, and even though they had 2 levels, but they haven’t use it. I went there with fellow foodies. We were having fun there 🙂 The cafe itself looked so cool. I felt like I was in some cool bar I saw in some movies or TV series. Cool, aight?

Finger Food Combo 98k

A platter of potato skins, buffalo wings, crumbed chicken tenders, salt and pepper dusted calamari with lime sweet chilli sauce and our Hog’s Breath honey mustard.

I love the crumbed chicken tenders, potato skins and calamari. I didn’t like the buffalo wings. It’s a little bit spicy, and too dry. But overall, I love this finger food combo. You can eat this with friends. Especially the one who love to hang out with you for some time. And you can choose the sauces. They served it with chilli sauce and honey mustard sauce. You can choose which one you like.


Smoked Pork BBQ Ribs 178k [half rack]

Hog’s Style braised pork spare ribs basted in our very own Hickory Smoked Barbecue Sauce and served with curly fries or mash and seasonal vegetables or salad.

This is one of their signatures. The pork was very tender and juicy. I didn’t really like the additional sauce, so I ate without the sauce. I love the curly fries!! Really love it. The texture was perfect with just the right taste. Recommended!


Thanks Hog’s Breath for your hospitality. Congratulations for your 1st anniversary. I will come back for your dessert. Some people said that I should try your dessert LOL. See you soon.

Smoked Pork BBQ Ribs (Full Rack) 298k

Hog’s Style braised pork spare ribs basted in our very own Hickory Smoked Barbecue Sauce and served with curly fries or mash and seasonal vegetables or salad.

I ate this pork ribs again. And I fell in love over and over again. LOL. It’s the same taste. Juicy and tender. Love it. And the curly fries? Too die for!


Beef Short Ribs with Herbs BBQ Sauce 228k

Marinated, braised and char grilled to tender perfection and smothered in our special herb BBQ Sauce and served with fresh salad or vegetables and curly fries.

I tried this one a small bite. Tasted amazing with the herbs BBQ sauce. It’s perfectly tender too. I recommended this one for those who loves beef ribs. Ugh, those meat!!


Australian Lamb Shank 188k

Traditionally braised lamb fore-shanks served with creamy mash, steamed vegetables and basted with its own lamb gravy.

Funny thing, someone told me that it was pork knuckle! OMG! And I believed him. But, I smelled something that alert me, “It’s not pork! It’s not pork!” And, after I confirmed the owner, yes, it’s lamb!! Wow, finally, I can declare myself as a foodie hahahahahaha.. This lamb shank was delicious and amazingly tender! But, I still smelled a lamb’s aroma. A little bit. But, yeah, another recommendation from me.


Blue Cheese Prime Rib Steak 249k

Prime Rib steak seared on the char-grill and then topped with our own blue cheese ranch dressing.

This was the winner! I couldn’t stop eating this. I just couldn’t. And thank goodness, nobody knew. Hahahahaha. Or they pretended to not care? LOL. This steak was tender, juicy, addicting. I asked my friend to refill my plate all day long hahahaha.. The blue cheese dressing was.. hmmm.. tempting..


El Grande Prime Rib Steak 249k

Prime Rib steak topped with Mexican salsa, warm cheese sauce and sliced jalapeños.


Calamari Prime Rib Steak 259k

Tender Prime Rib steak topped with crispy crumbed salt and pepper crumbed calamari rings and lime chilli sauce.

The Prime Rib was definitely tender. I didn’t have to explain anything, right? The calamari rings were well-seasoned. But I didn’t try the lime chilli sauce. Come on. Chilli. Not my favourite. So, I prefer this one without the sauce. 😛


Garlic Prawn Prime Rib Steak 269k

Flame-grilled Prime Rib steak with juicy, fresh prawns in Hog’s own garlic and white wine cream sauce.



Key Lime Cheese Cake 55k

Creamy, Cheesy, tangy lime flavoured served with cream and ice cream.

Actually I didn’t like cheese cake. But this key lime cheese cake had a mild texture and light tangy taste. It’s creamy but still light. I ate and finished it in a jiffy, because everybody had already full. It’s the collaboration of sour and sweet. Perfect.


Banana Split Sundae 65k

Banana served with crushed nuts, cream and ice cream, and garnished with a chocolate wafer. Add your choice of topping – chocolate, caramel or strawberry.


Grandma’s Trifle Sundae 68k

2 scoops of vanilla and 1 scoop of strawberry ice cream layered with jam rolled sponge cake, vanilla custard, Aeroplane Strawberry Jelly, and finished with whipped cream and toasted coconut.
