August 31st, 2017. I heard about Réuni Coffee and Eatery from one of my follower who always told me about new places *hi Penny* Lucky me, the owner of the place wanted to invite me next week. But, according to my busy schedule *big grin* I had to turn down the invitation. Then, all of a sudden, I had time today. So, we set the time, and this morning I ordered online car to Pluit area.
Located in Muara Karang area, from the facade I thought it’s a small place. Turn out, Réuni is quite spacious. When I opened the door, I arrived in the first area. It has 3 tables. Then there’s another door to go inside, and I found a bigger dining area. Actually, Réuni divided into 2 levels. They put coffee bar on the first level. For VIP room, they put it on second level. Well, they also decorated the second level for those who want to have gathering with friends or family. Smoking area is also on the second level. When I came in, they greeted me with friendly gesture. It’s actually a family business. Owned by two brothers *one of them is the chef*, Réuni was meant to be a place for everybody to have some reunion. Interesting, right? Btw, I love their playlists. Calm and serene. That’s what we need the most these days.
Café Latte 35k
I love their latte. It had light body with non acidic. The after taste was very good. But actually, their Flat White was the friendly one for my tummy. OK, next time I will order their Flat White. Remind me, okay?
Rainbow Fries 40k
Combination of sweet potato, purple potato, Japanese yam, straight cut and wedges served with 3 different sauces.
When I saw their menu, the name caught my attention. Well, you guys must know that french fries was never my favourite. But, good thing, the texture of their fries was really good. Perfect for my taste bud. And I love one of their dipping sauce. Of course not the chilli. LOL.
Jack D Baby Back Ribs 125k
Slow cooked USA baby back ribs marinated with no. 7 Jack Daniels whiskey served with potato wedges and garden salad.
Tender baby back ribs. My favourite! Well-seasoned with very juicy meat. But.. yes, there’s a but.. I need more whiskey! LOL! I ordered the half-size, and it’s really quite big. Perfect combination of bark, unique texture, captivating color and the delectable flavor that everyone loves. Super duper recommended!
Reuni Style ‘Oxtail Soup’ 88k
Traditional slow braised Australian oxtail cooked in selected Indonesian spices and herb served with ’emping,’ chilli and fragrant rice.
No, you didn’t read it wrong. Oxtail Soup. In fact, I ate this one first before the baby back ribs hahahaha.. Super in love with the oxtail soup. They cooked it perfectly which produces a rich taste and texture. A hearty stew with rich broth and succulent will make me smile all day long. And the fragrant rice was impeccable. Too bad the oxtail was too big *errr.. are you sure, too bad? hahahaha* I didn’t get to finish the rice. *sobbing* Trust me, it’s remarkably super recommended!
Congratulations Réuni for the opening. Psst, they opened 9am every day, but they’re planning to open earlier for those early birds. Yaaaaay.. See you soon, Réuni. Keep up the good food!
