May 17th, 2017. I was invited to an event at Plaza Senayan. Before the event, Cindy asked me to join her to find new places at Cipete area. And then, when we walked around the area, we found a new place just at a nice location. The name was eye-catching. Pikul Coffee & Roastery. LOL. Pikul means carry on the shoulder. It was a fun name, of course. But when I asked the barista, he didn’t know why the owner named it Pikul. Well, next time I meet the owner, I will ask him or her. 🙂
A humble coffee shop always makes me happy. And Pikul was one of them. A very simple place with indoor and outdoor area. They’re preparing the roastery area right now. If we’re not in a hurry, I guess, we would be sitting all day long at Pikul. The barista was friendly. We felt very welcomed there. We love the place.

Love it. The after taste was fantastic. I almost finished the whole cup. The barista said sorry that he couldn’t make a beautiful latte art. But for me, it’s very pretty. The texture was rich with strong flavour. Love love love.

I love how they made this scrambled egg. Look at the sexy colour. And the sausage was delicious. Great texture with delightful flavour. Scrambled egg is always favourit for breakfast. It’s a simple dish but if you cannot make it with the right texture, it will ruin your morning.
Great job, Pikul. Definitely a keeper. Since they open 7am every day, it’s really good for those early birds. Woohoo!!
