[BANDUNG] Contrast Coffee at Anggrek Cihapit Bandung

May 6th, 2017. On my second day, I visited this hidden gem in Bandung. Yesterday, I saw this place on my way to a new coffee shop. So I asked my hubby to take me there today. We almost missed the place since it’s quite hidden. Good thing, the road was’t that crowded. We made a u-turn and parked in front of the place. Contrast Coffee.


They opened about 6 months ago. Located at Cihapit area, you have to be very careful, or you’ll missed the place. They have outdoor area in their facade and at the backyard. I was stunned by the beautiful indoor area, and when I walked to their backyard, I was more suprised with the spacious area back there. It’s really good for hang out with your friends or family.

For this latte, they used Panama beans because it’s lighter than the others. But too bad, I didn’t really like the beans. Well, I’m not an expert about coffee, so I guess that’s only about the taste bud. For coffee, I love their after taste. And this one, I didn’t get the connection. I will try their other beans, next time. 🙂


Iced Chocolate 35k

Their chocolate was by Korte. Delicious, definitely. Oh my, what life would be without chocolate. It’s my hubby’s favourite drink. But, I also loved iced chocolate. And Korte was one of the best chocolate I guess. It’s always good for me. My hubby said that it’s a little bit dark. And I said, “That’s a great chocolate when it’s dark.” Super recommended!


Lasagna 26k

The owner, Dhika, said that it’s homemade. And I wasn’t sorry that I ordered this one. One of the best lasagna. It’s very cute, so I think next time I will order 2 or 3 portions hahaha.. We’re very hungry, absolutely. It finished instantly.


Brownies 20k

It’s also homemade. Delicious flavour with marvelous texture. Rich and moist. Cakey on the outside and fudgy in the middle. Best cake for snacking.


What a lovely afternoon that I spent with hubby today. I will be back when I come to Bandung again. It’s surely one of the best place to visit. See you soon.

[EVENT] Taste of Peru with Chef Eduardo Montes at Seasonal Tastes Westin Hotel Jakarta

April 29th, 2017. I got the invitation to try the Taste of Peru. The event took place at Seasonal Tastes The Westin Jakarta from May 2nd to May 4th, 2017. I post a couple photos from the event at my Instagram account. But since it was worth to share, I will share to you my simple review about it.

The Westin Jakarta is excited to feature guest chef Eduardo Montes from Peru at Seasonal Tastes, who will present a 6-course Peruvian fusion dinner set menu with contemporary cooking techniques. Priced at 740k++ per person, limited seating.


Peruvian Eduardo Montes is renowned as one of his country’s finest chefs. He is passionate about authentic Peruvian cuisine and its diverse mix of influences from China, Africa, Japan, Italy, and Spain. While he was Executive Chef of Mayta Peruvian Kitchen in Hong Kong in 2013, it was named among the city’s best by Tatler Hong Kong.

I was very happy to meet Chef Eduardo Montes. Such a humble chef with sweet smile. Even though the event took place at Seasonal Tastes, but we had an exciting chance to do the foodtasting at Opening-Soon Henshin on level 67th. OMG right? Lucky us! But, expect nothing on my blog about the place. I won’t reveal anything about Henshin. It should be a surprise for you guys. Well, yeah I know, some people posted about the place, but you won’t get it from me. Not a chance. 🙂

Sea Bass, Tiger Milk Foam, Red Chili, Coriander and Red Onion

Tasted very delicious with sweet and sour flavour. Served in a stone bowl. Very unique. It’s very heavy. The bowl, not the ceviche hahaha.. Great job Chef Eduardo. We love the ceviche.

Ceviche (Spanish pronunciation: [seˈβitʃe]) is a seafood dish popular in the coastal regions of Latin America and the Caribbean. The dish is typically made from fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices, such as lemon or lime, and spiced with ají or chili peppers. Additional seasonings, such as chopped onions, salt, and cilantro, may also be added. Ceviche is usually accompanied by side dishes that complement its flavors, such as sweet potato, lettuce, corn, avocado or plantain. As the dish is not cooked with heat, it must be prepared fresh to minimize the risk of food poisoning.


Octopus Tiradito Al Olivo

Torched Octopus, Peruvian Olive Sauce and Oriental Chimichurri

      I helped the Chef plating the dish. It’s so fun. Mr Luis helped me put the apron and glove, and he helped me torch the octopus. What an incredible moment to do such “chef” things for me. LOL. The octopus was tender and easy to chew. The other ingredients enhanced the sensuous delight. Recommended.

Arroz Con Pato

Duck Confit, Nortena Sauce, Arborio Rice, Corn, Green Peas, Red Bell Pepper, Peruvian Chalaca

Love everything in the plate. The duck was tender and lots of meat. The Arborio Rice was great in texture. At the same time, it was firm, creamy, and chewy. Tasted delicious too. Super recommended.

Arborio rice is an Italian short-grain rice. It is named after the town of Arborio, in the Po Valley, which is situated in the main growing region.

Macarron De Suspiro A La Limena

Merengue, Port Wine, Peruvian Egg Yolk Manjar

For me, it’s just like any other macaron. What I love about this dessert was the presentation. It’s smoky. Cool, aight? And the river of chocolate where the macarron floating happily, amazingly delicious.

Nosh Kitchen at Citywalk Sudirman Jakarta

April 22nd, 2017. I was invited to try their new menus. And they asked my help politely to bring my friends since they introduced several new menus. Well, it should be a week before, but most of my friends couldn’t do the foodtasting, so I rescheduled. Good thing, there’re still friends who could make an effort to come. Well, you know, it’s Saturday, a family time. Bla bla bla.. And you should come to an invitation. Bla bla bla.. What an effort, right? Appreciate it. 🙂 Well, back to the venue. Nosh Kitchen.


This was my first time coming to Nosh. Some friends told me that they just okay. Some friends told me that they were good. Well, it’s time for me to try it myself. They have indoor area and outdoor area. It’s not spacious, well typical restaurant in a mall, but quite cozy. Located at Citywalk, the interior is beautiful with marble tables and white brick walls.

From  10 dishes, it's very hard to choose which one was my favourite.
I won't give you one by one reviews, since they were all good.
After some times, finally I could pick the winner.
I choose: Baked Mossimo's Meatbal Rice and  Salted Egg Crispy Fried Chicken Tender Rice as my favourites.
The other 8 dishes were delicious and delightful in their own special ways,
but the baked rice and salted egg rice were the most recommended for me.
It was not easy to choose from all delicious food they served for us at the time.
But yeah, some win some lose, and the Oscar goes to.. hahahahaha..

Molten “Lava” Chocolate Cake 45k

A warm rich chocolate cake filled with molten chocolate and top with vanilla ice cream

Chocolate lava wasn’t my favourite dessert since last 2 years, I guess. When they served this one, I thought, “Well, it will just like any other restaurant that serve chocolate lava cake.” But when I tried the cake, good to know that they made a delicious chocolate lava cake. Kudos.
