[SINGAPORE] Dutch Colony Coffee Co. at UE Square

January 14th, 2017. Yaaaaay another trip to Singapore. I always loved Singapore. Such an organized place. So when Darius and Gaby showed off their tickets, I bought my ticket in a flash. Singapore, here we come! And first coffee shop, Dutch Colony.

Located in UE Square, at first we thought they have outdoor seats. Turned out, big NO hahaha. So, we had to accept that we couldn’t take photos outside. By the way, it’s their third outlet and they just opened the second day. Fun fact: when we talked at each other, the owner heard that we’re talking in bahasa. And she asked: “Are you Indonesian?” We were very surprised LOL. Turned out she’s Indonesian too. She opened this coffee shop with her husband, also Indonesian. It’s really nice to hear their story about the coffee shop. They told us that they never judge people by their look. So, please come with your most comfortable outfit. You will always be welcomed.

Cappuccino $5.00

As usual, I let my friends tried the coffee first. Then I asked them about the coffee. Gaby said that I could drink it. It’s a little bit acidic but she was sure that I could manage. So yeah, I tried a sip. And It was really good. Love the after taste. Recommended coffee shop!

Skinny Cappuccino $5.00

This was Gaby’s order. Skinny cappuccino means a cappuccino drink made with skim or nonfat milk. Gaby said to me that in Jakarta, it’s very hard to find skinny type of coffee. She loved it that she could find it in Singapore’s coffee shops. It’s the same taste with the not-skinny cappuccino. Still with amazing after taste.

Hot Chocolate $5.00

If you’re not a coffee lover, you can order the hot chocolate. When it came, I was so happy because it looked mouthwatering with delicious aroma and fantastic dark chocolate colour. One sip and I satisfied. @yennymakanmulu approved LOL.

Speculoos Cheesecake $7.90

Speculoos and Cheesecake. Not my favourites. But combine those ingredients, and it became state-of-the-art. Too bad, I was craving for savoury food. So I let Gaby finished the cake. She appeared to be hypnotized by the cake hahaha.. It was the most beautiful cake in the chiller, I guess. When I saw it for the first time, I knew right away that we will order this one LOL.
