Social Affair Coffee & Bakehouse at Pantai Indah Kapuk PIK Jakarta

November 27th, 2016. Actually, I had a plan to have a staycation at Cikarang. But, it’s reschedule to mid December. And Gaby asked me to join her and Vrila to cafe hopping around Pantai Indah Kapuk. And I agreed without hesitation. Well, I asked permission from my hubby first, and he’s okay with that. Our first destination was a coffee shop, that I will blog later. Right now, I present to you our 2nd destination, the newest venue. Social Affair.

Actually, I heard about this place from Hans. He asked me to join him when he come to the place. But, since Gaby and Vrila wanted to come that Sunday, I thought it’s ok for me to come again later with Hans. HAHAHA peace Hans. By the way, I found out that it’s Social Affair by Cacaote. They sell Cacaote’s cakes, for sure. But the place has a different ambiance from Cacaote. It’s quite spacious with long tables, sofas, cute spots for OOTD, big glass windows. It’s very bright and warm. A really nice place to do everything, I guess. I did my blogging there, and comfy enough to eat and chit chat with Gaby and Vrila.

Truffled Spaghetti 75k

chicken and mushroom with truffle cream and grana padano

“Best pasta ever!” Hahaha ok, too much. Well, it’s one of the best pasta, true. They spoiled us with the generous truffle cream. It’s so creamy I wanna cry. When it came to our table, I suddenly drooling. Hahaha. But I have to wait until we stopped taking pictures of it. The smell of the truffle was really hard to resist. And I was very happy because the texture of the spaghetti was just perfect for my taste bud. For 75k, it’s really worth the price. Big portion and super delicious.

Pork Belly Rice Bowl 85k

caramelized pork belly, 60 degree egg, sauteed pak choy, steamed rice

When Gaby asked me what I wanted to eat, I answered her right away, “Pork Belly Rice Bowl!” For me, pork belly is always the best dish for lunch. So, when a place had pork belly in their menu, I should try it. And I was very satisfied with Social Affair’s pork belly. It’s really delightful. The pork belly was tender and juicy. Unfortunately they ran out of pak choy, so they replaced it with mushroom. And I think I didn’t see any 60 degree egg. Hmmm.. I wonder.. Well, never mind. Now I wanna show you how to eat this rice bowl. I mixed all together, and I asked for the server to bring me a plate. LOL. Actually the bowl is different from any other bowl in other place. It’s a little bit like huge cone. So, it’s hard for me to eat with pleasure. That’s why I asked for a plate. And the result: @yennymakanmulu approved! *wink wink*

Chocolate Lava Croissant 35k

I looked at the glazy chocolate on top of a croissant, then nodded shortly when Gaby asked me about ordering this one. It’s really like a chocolate lava when Gaby cut the croissant. Melted! Melted! Melted! And if I said this croissant wasn’t good, I was absolutely a bad liar. Just looked at my empty plate and my chocolaty-messy mouth and fingers. YES! It’s finger-licking good!!
