[BALI] The BARber Sintesa Jimbaran Hotel Bali

March 21st, 2016. I was invited to have lunch at one of the latest hotel in Jimbaran, Bali. When I received the email I said to my hubby, “Wow, lucky us. We will having birthday lunch, honey.” Oh by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!! Yup, it’s his 42nd. Errr.. 24th.. Errr.. yeah whatever.. Age is just a number, right? Ok, back to Bali. The Sintesa Jimbaran picked us up at the Ngurah Rai Airport. Mr. Ardi, the driver, was a very kind man. Looked good in his uniform. Very polite. I guess he’s the best driver I’ve ever met. So, after half an hour drive, there we were. Fyi, we’re having lunch at The BARber.

Welcome drink. Sweet and fresh. Bali was so hot! They said it’s hotter than last January. OMG. Always love welcome drink from hotel. LOL. Well, some hotel did not always appreciate guests all the time. *big grin*

An authentic reminiscent full service bar and lounge built as an icon to the newly established ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran. Upon entering the hotel’s classic 1930s styled men’s Barbershop to furthest left corner of the room, inside the cloak room reveals a secret door to find the venue. Old reclaimed wooden panels in dark lacquer, antique light fixtures, warm leather sofas, a fine pool table in one corner, a baby grand piano on the other and of course a bar complete with the finest collection of Single Malts, Whiskeys, a range of premium Vodkas and Branded Liquors. Our expert mixologist concocts a series of original cocktails as well as classic favorite.

They set a table and a menu for us 🙂 So lovely. Thanks a lot. I really appreciated it.

Caramelized scallop and Prawn, Cauliflower Crème, Tomato, Shallot & Lemon Salsa, Crispy Capers

Juicy scallop and prawn with delicious cauliflower crème. My hubby didn’t eat prawn, so I exchanged my scallop with his prawn. LOL.

MAIN

Lamb Cutlet, Yoghurt, Chickpea Puree and Dukkah Spice

The lamb was juicy and tender. Surprisingly, the chickpea puree was delicious. I thought it will be super weird. But, it’s not. One of the best lamb cutlet.

SWEET

Baked Chocolate Lava, Compressed Strawberry, Chocolate Soil, Vanilla Ice Cream

Chocolate and Strawberry. Mixed it together and it became super duper delicious. The lava was perfect. Combined them with vanilla ice cream and it was a bomb. Definitely recommended!

Thanks Sintesa and The BARber for the delicious lunch. It was indeed lunch with a view, because the BARber was directly overlooking the pool.
