Hard Rock Cafe Pacific Place SCBD Jakarta

June 14th, 2014. The date was Hard Rock Cafe 43rd Anniversary. I was lucky to be part of the celebration at Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta. I love the birthday cake and the colourful balloons 🙂 So cheerful.

Located in SCBD Area at Pacific Place Mall, Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta is opening its gate after moving to this 3d location. I’ve been in Hard Rock Cafe Sarinah Thamrin, I’ve been in Hard Rock Cafe eX Plaza Indonesia, and now I’ve been here. And, I’m telling you, I love this new location.

Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta has opened its doors again, marking the rebirth of the Cafe amongst the cuisine and entertainment scene of this vibrant city. The 657 square-meter cafe, which includes indoor seating for 145 guests, is located at Pacific Place Mall. The famous Rock Shop, with its modern and exclusive retail look and feel, provides a wide array of merchandise, from exclusive designs to t-shirts to the collectible Hard Rock Cafe signature pins.

Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta carries on the Hard Rock tradition of presenting some of the most iconic memorabilia from legendary and contemporary musicians alike, including various accessories worn by Black Eyed Peas artists Fergie and Will.I.Am, a costume worn by Slash, Jon Bon Jovi’s guitar, pants worn by Shakira, autographed record of the late Donna Summer, and much more.

And, they really made my smile even wider because they had this band that played music from 70s with an old school appearance. Cool!! Even their servers also wear the 70s costumes. Great party ever!!

Groupie Grind 65k

Mango puree, pina colada mix and pineapple juice blended with a fresh strawberry swirl.

This was the best. The sexy combination between strawberry swirl with mango puree, will make you feel even more sensual than ever. The pina colada mix and pineapple juice were outstanding. And it was beautifully served in a pint glass. Recommended!

Mango puree is smooth paste of pulp of mango, usually yellow-orange in colour.

Mango Berry Cooler 65k

A tropical blend of fresh mangoes, strawberries, pineapple juice, orange juice and sweet & sour mix topped with Sprite.

I was in love with the colour. It’s a combination between yellow, red and orange. When it came to my table, I was like, “Ohmaigatttt.. so refreshing!!” A slice of orange and pineapple were styled beautifully on the glass. And it’s refreshing, indeed. Life’s so good!! 😀

Wildberry Smoothie 65k

Frozen delight of fresh bananas, pina colada mix, orange juice and wild berry syrup.

The fresh bananas were so strong!! I tried a sip, and I felt like swallowing a whole banana hahahaha.. just kidding.. but true, the bananas were tasty. Mix it with wild berry syrup, it tasted sumptuous. Must-try!

Wildberry syrup blended with fresh strawberries and orange juice then garnished with a fresh strawberry and orange.

Can you imagine when wild berry mix with strawberries and orange? It was freaking cool!!! For thirst-quenching beverage, I recommended this one too. Sweet and sour in a big glass, what could go wrong? Nothing.

STARTERS

Hard Rock Nachos (Big enough to share) 177k

Fresh corn tortilla chips layered with homed queso, piled high and topped with Cheddar cheese and seasoned pinto beans. Served with sour cream, chopped green onions, pico de gallo, jalapeños and a side of freshly made Hard Rock Salsa.

What? Big enough to share? BIG ENOUGH to share? Errrr.. it was gigantic enough!!! We’re talking about starters, right? Hahaha.. You will fill your tummy before starting p your main course hahaha..  The tortilla chips were crunchy and tasty. But the best thing here was cheddar cheese!!! Yup, love it. We want more! We want more! Hahaha.. And thank God, I could avoid the jalapeños 😀

A tortilla chip (/tɔrˈt.ə ɪp/Spanish: [torˈtiʎa tʃip]) is a snack food made from corn tortillas, which are cut into wedges and then fried—or baked (alternatively they may be discs pressed out of corn masa then fried or baked). Corn tortillas are made of corn, vegetable oil, salt and water. The pinto bean is a variety of common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris). It is the most common bean in the United States and northwestern Mexico, and is most often eaten whole in broth or mashed and refried. Either whole or mashed, it is a common filling for burritos. The young pods may also be harvested and cooked as green pinto beans.

A Delectable array of our most popular starters that’s big enough to share. Includes Santa Fe Spring Rolls, Hickory-Smoked Chicken Wings, Onion Rings, Potato Skins and Tupelo Chicken Tenders. Served with four different sauces for mixing and matching.

Another gigantic starter!! Served with 4 kinds of sauces: BBQ, mustard, mayonnaise and cream cheese. For me, there’s nothing special with this starter without the sauce. So, for a tasty starters, just dip it wherever you like. Mayonnaise lovers, join me!! Hehehe.. And the fun fact about Tupelo Chicken Tenders. I just found out that Tupelo, Mississippi is the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Cool.

LEGENDARY BURGERS

Legendary 10oz. Burger 178k

Famous the world over: topped with seasoned turkey bacon, two slices of Cheddar cheese, a crisp fried onion ring, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

This Legendary Burger is legen… *wait for it..* dary!!! Hihihi.. What I like about this burger was the bun. It was so soft. It’s like melt in your mouth. But, I think they cooked the patty too well. It’s not as juicy as I expected. But then again, the size was amazing. You won’t be hungry again after eating this one 🙂

ENTREES

Grilled Bar-B-Que Beef Shorts Ribs 360k

Char-grilled marinated Beef Short Ribs, basted in our special Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and cooked to perfection. Served with seasoned fries, ranch beans and fresh coleslaw.

This is the top-notch!!! The short ribs were juicy and well-seasoned. I think everybody really likes this one. They said it was well marinated and delicious down to the bones. For me, I said it was too sweet. Good thing, they served it with fresh coleslaw. So, the taste was balance. Recommended!!!

New York Strip Steak (12 oz) 288k

New York strip steak grilled to your liking and topped with Merlot-garlic butter. Served with garlic smashed potatoes with homemade gravy and fresh vegetables.

Everybody loves steak. It was very big. It’s also well-seasoned and super delicious. The Merliot-garlic butter was splendid. And don’t forget the smashed potato. Yes, smashed hehehe. It was outstanding!! My bff once told me that if you wanna know whether the restaurant is good or not, just try their easy-to-make dish. For some restaurant, try the fried rice. But for western restaurant, try the mashed potato. If it’s good, then all of their food must be good too, hopefully 🙂

The strip steak is a type of cut of beef steaks. Internationally it is called a club steak[citation needed]. In the United States and Canada it is also known as New York strip, strip loin, shell steak, or Kansas City strip steak. In Australia it is known as a porterhouse steak or boneless sirloin. Cut from the short loin, the strip steak consists of a muscle that does little work, and so it is particularly tender, although not so tender as the nearby rib eye or tenderloin. (Fat content of the strip is somewhere between these two cuts.) Unlike the nearby tenderloin, the short loin is a sizable muscle, allowing it to be cut into the larger portions.

A strip steak without the bone is called a “New York Strip Steak”. When a bone is left attached to the strip, it is either called a “Bone-in New York” or sometimes a “Kansas City Strip.

DESSERTS

Hot Fudge Brownie 99k

Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream and hot fugde on a fresh brownie, topped with chopped walnuts, chocolate sprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry.

Yaaaay, let’s do the desserts. This hot fudge brownie was a toothsome combination between an ice cream and a brownie. The hot fudge on the brownie mixed with the vanilla ice cream. Can you imagine the flavour after the ice cream melted? Super luscious! The chopped walnuts and chocolate sprinkles also gave the combination an addition of crunchy texture. What a lovely dessert, right?

Fresh Apple Cobbler 80k

A country favourite, served warm with vanilla ice cream, topped with walnuts and caramel sauce.

The sweet closure was in this fresh apple cobbler. I love the walnuts and caramel sauce. Why not the apple? Because apple wasn’t my favourite. But I think those who like apple crumble will love this dessert. Try it and be amazed!!!
