Outback Steakhouse Kuningan City Jakarta

February 1st, 2014. I was attending an event at Outback Steakhouse which is located in Kuningan City. The event was called Steakopedia. It was all about steak. Everything you wanna know about steak, they will provide it. About meat grading, about marbling, about the cattle feed, and all about their steak. It’s really interesting. We never had an opportunity to get the knowledge about it, until now.

You probably already saw my previous reviews about my first dinner and blogger gathering. You can see more of the ambiance there, because I won’t share many pictures of the ambiance this time 😀

While listened to the steakopedia, they served us delicious food.

Soup of the day: Chicken and Mushroom Cream Soup (Cup: 29.9k / Bowl: 34.9k)

Perfect menu for starter. This creamy mushroom soup with chicken chunks was very delicious. The texture was incredibly ten out of ten!!

Spinach Artichoke Dip 89.9k

A creamy blend of spinach, artichokes, Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheese, baked until bubbly. Served with tortilla chips. I never tried this menu. Actually, tortilla chips were my least favorite. But when I dip the tortilla chips into the spinach artichoke, it was spectacular. The texture of the creamy dip was amazing 🙂 Must-try!!

Crispy Fried Mushrooms 69.9k

Lightly breaded and fried mushrooms, served with spicy ranch dressing. I love it. This is the first appetizer that you should order once you come to Outback. Once you chew it, you’ll find the juicy taste inside the crispiness. It was a very delicious experience 🙂

Now it’s time for the main course, but before they served the main course, we had a chance to go to their kitchen to explore. It’s really a good chance, since not every place allow us to come to their kitchen.

MAIN COURSE

Prime Rib 8oz 249K

Meticulously aged, then slow-roasted to seal in the savory beef flavor and to ensure tenderness, hand-carved to order and served with our mouth-watering au jus. Or, have it oven roasted slowly then seasoned and seared to perfection. I ordered medium-well. And it cooked perfectly as I ordered. Love the juicy and tender meat. Definitely a prime rib. And the au jus is great. Au jus is French for “with [its own] juice”; jus is the juice itself.

DESSERT for share

Chocolate Thunder from Down Under® 69.9k

Fresh-baked pecan brownie is crowned with rich vanilla ice cream, drizzled with our classic warm chocolate sauce and finished with chocolate shavings and whipped cream. A chocolate lover’s dream. Actually I never wanna share this dessert. But they were so smart. They made me eat a lot of food, then they force me to share this heavenly dessert hahahaha.. just kidding.. The most delicious thing in this dessert is the fresh-baked pecan brownie. The Best!!!
